Bang on if your using around bananas, although personally I use a measuring cup or syringe myself and remember to water prior to feeding, great stuff

Depends where you have it. If in a heated conservatory / greenhouse then will keep growing and therefore OK to feed (keep well watered). If outside too late to feed and prepare to protect from the weather and keep feed for next spring.
