This toilet seat is very sturdy and the easy quiet lid closure is great. It is stable and easy to install. The wood grain color is exactly what I wanted. It functions well, no more seat slamming.

I've been doing basic diy everything for about 45 years. During that time, my wife and I discovered that we like wooden toilet seats, so we've had several. When it came time for another one on a new toity I just installed (which came with a cheap seat), thanks to Amazon's availability of so many brands and styles, I came across this brand and the products look brilliant! Great reviews too.It's a bit different in that it's not really solid wood, but it is....it's just chopped up and put back together. Weird, right?Well, no fear, they get much better quality control by doing it this way, and I'm fairly certain it also offers superior durability and lifespan. (The basic solis wood seats do not last forever.... they need replaced occasionally, just fyi as they say).Anyway, it turns out that it's beautiful, solid as a rock, the hardware all looks like great quality, and it all goes together easily.That's all I was looking for.

Don’t buy this toilet seat . It is nice looking but garbage . It’s not easy to put on and it doesn’t stay put ,it shifts from side to side . It actually snapped off so had to but a new one . It was less than 1 year.

Aesthetically pleasing, and has a nice slow-close feature. I ordered this because it’s so difficult to find elongated toilet seats at the big box stores that don’t look institutional. The install was reasonably easy, (read the manual first), and the seat seems secure and does not slip. The only thing that keeps me from giving five stars is that the seat itself is somewhat narrow- not as wide or flat as the standard elongated seats, so it’s not quite as comfortable, (though in truth sitting on a toilet for too long isn’t the best idea, so maybe it’s not so bad! LOL!)

I paid about $20. more for this seat than others offered BUT this one has supposedly a "slow" or "easy drop" mechanism that allows both the seat and lid to be lowered down quietly and softly without any noise! Hey for $20. more it would be worth it. Much to my surprise it Works!! and works well and works every time. It was super easy to install (but don't lose the hardware provided in this little triangle cardboard piece (( see photo)) as I did I just thought it was packing material to keep the seat in place in its box). It installs very easily and only one person is needed. It is extremely high quality made of planted forests wood. Looks like oak and is very well made and looks very high end with its high shine luster. Comes with a silly clothe lid cover which is kind of strangely made and totally not necessary. I gave mine away. Caution: If you have a bidet you will need to add at least two larger seat bumpers (see photo). I am extremely happy with my purchase and highly recommend this seat. A+

1) Easy to InstallI have to concur with the claim that it is easy to install. I'm not a handy person, and I was able to do this will just a flat head screwdriver to remove the old seat. No additional tools were needed to actually install it. Some people say they did it in 5 minutes. Theoretically I can see that for someone experienced with doing this before. For the non-handy non-experienced person who can read, it took me a total 30 minutes with half the time spent reading the instructions, 5 minutes spent removing and the old seat, and 10 minutes putting this one on. That's still really quick though considering we're talking about someone who really didn't know what they were doing.2) Looks Good (Colors slightly darker than advertised)I picked the "wood" color trying to match my hardwood. What I got was slightly darker than expected and makes me think that I maybe should have gone with the "oak" color. However, it's not so dramatically off as to actually look bad. I'm including a photo so you can judge for yourself, but I think it actually looks really good.3) Functions as AdvertisedI haven't tried the quick release hinges feature, but it did come with a small tool to do that with (good luck not losing that!). However, the quiet close feature very much works in regards to both the seat and lid. You can manually lower them quicker, but they do drop slowly rather than just slam down. Also just as easy to clean as a porcelain seat due to its coating.4) ComfortableIt's made out of real wood, but it coated so it feels just as comfortable as a porcelain seat. No complaints here.Overall: ExcellentI've only had this for a couple of weeks, but so far I'm pleasantly surprised. This was great value for the money! I half expected some cheap material that loosely looked like wood, but it's real wood, and It literally looks like and works as advertised!
