Q: How long does it take to fully charge and do you get a full 30mins or is it more like 15mins of usage? Thanks

First charge overnight. From then on 3 hours per charge but in reality leave it plugged in so it's always ready. Run time depends on whether you have it switched to max suction or the normal high suction. If switched to max you get 20 mins, high gets 30 mins. For the record I couldn't believe how powerful this is even compared to the best corded vacs out there let alone cordless! Look after it and it will serve you extremely well. We looked at buying another cordless recently which claimed to be just as efficient but cheaper, difference was it weighed twice as much and was hard to use off ground. We sent it back and bought a Dyson.

Q: Does this stand on its own

The short answer is no, but the vacuum cleaner comes with a wall-mounted docking station and charger, so you can hang it up when not in use.

Q: I dont have room for the item to be placed on a wall ie docking station can this still be charged without docking station

Yes. The cable connector can be used for charging directly without the docking station. You can throw away the docking station if you want and charge from any power point in your house or anywhere else.
