Sound
They are sturdy and work well. The only thing that is missing is the sound transfer not very clear like others I've had.

Not as rugged as they say; expected better for the money
We bought these to replace the much-less-expensive Midland radios from Walmart that we had been using for several years because we thought these would be better quality and last longer. The knob came off of one before it was even two months old. They are only used 2 to 3 days a week in an indoor retail environment (and not every week); for the price, they should definitely be able to withstand that sort of use for a long time.

DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THESE - 2 months complete junk
The charging pad is flimsy - the pins all broke within 2 months, no quality at all expected better from Dewalt. We use them once a day for about 2 hours in the morning and they stopped charging so complete lemon.
