Q: Does it stain or come off on bedclothes, or clothes.

When first applied it will come off on anything it touches but it dries after a few minutes and won’t transfer after that. I slept with it in my hair and there was nothing on my pillowcase the next morning

Yes my daughter has quite dark brown hair and it worked on her hair.

Q: What type of hold does this spray give?

It doesn't give you any hold, as this isn't a hair spray. If you are wanting this product & hoping for a grip/hold this is not it... If however you mean by a hold in terms of colour it states it is only temporary so it will wash out, (so be cautious if you are out in the rain as it will cause it to run down your face) but also bare in mind depending on the colour of your own hair will determine the outcome of the colour, also some times depending on your hair colour might stain so if your hair is bleached I've come across (as I'm a hairdresser) these party colours have left some staining! But otherwise this product will not hold/grip hair as you will need a hairspray
