Great writing program!
We are new to handwriting without tears. So far so good! Kids love the option to practice on the chalkboard, especially the erasing part! The lessons are pretty short and do no overwhelm the kids. My daughter hates handwriting practice and these lessons she doesn’t mind. Feels less like a “chore” for here. The lessons are simple but high quality instruction is given in the teachers manual, with optional extensions for lessons. Looking forward to working through this program with my 3 kids!

Excellent Step in Teaching Handwriting
We had this curriculum in our building, but no one could find the teacher manual or all of the parts. All of the HWT books are good resources for teaching kids to either print or learn cursive. With their methods, one flows easily into the other.FYI: its cheaper to buy blank slates from Amazon and draw your own double lines with a paint marker than buy them directly from HWT or the branded ones through Amazon.

A lot of improvement
This is the difference in my sons handwriting in just two months of using this handwriting curriculum. He’s writing more and much neater. We haven’t even finished the book yet.

Helps with Writing
This is a really helpful writing bundle I got for my child who is in the 1st grade. The teacher's guide is helpful and provides a lot of tips and suggestions if you have a special needs child (ASD, Down syndrome, Poor Vision, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia, and Dysgraphia), writing remediation tips, tips for ESL students, etc.The student workbook might seem simple because it's in black and white, but the teacher's guide explains why it is (to avoid confusing backgrounds, colored graphics, crowded pages, etc). The teacher's guide also provides information on multi sensory activities you can do with your child. One downside is that some of the activities include downloads and activities found on the lwtears.com website, which you have to register, pay after 30 days, and sign up for. However, you can still do the writing assignments without that. There is a syllabus that you can follow for the various writing exercises, which include the need for access to the website, but I found it's not an issue just skipping those and not registering. If you do have multiple children or homeschool, it would be worth it, IMO.A big plus is that the children's handwriting workbook lays flat, and is easy for my child to write without the center of the book curling in at the spine. There are simple pictures to color after the writing activities. The exercises in the children's handwriting workbook are easy to follow along, and the teacher's guide provides guidance on the alphabet and numbers. Some of it might seem repetitive, but it provides really helpful tips so your child can follow along and write as you assist them. The multi sensory activities are also fun - there are exercises to do before writing, and ways to teach your child without just reading directions aloud. One activity was pointing two fingers close together but not touching, so show the small spacing needed between letters. I'll definitely be using this bundle from the end of the school year throughout the summer so that my child's handwriting skills can improve.

My 5 year old loves it
I am teaching my daughter kindergarten this year and she loves it! We are just doing the workbook a page a day and I feel like this has significantly improved her handwriting as well as expand her phonics.
