Giovacker Women's African Print Casual Party Dress Dashiki Traditional Costume

I was on the market for an African wear with a reasonable price. I saw this one and decided to give it a try. From the picture, the fabric looks like African wax but it is far from that. The design is African wax pattern/design but the fabric feels like nylon or polyester. I liked that it was long and flowy and versatile too. I was able to use it for the intended purpose so I give it 5 stars. If you're looking for real African wax/textile, this is not for you.

The media could not be loaded. I wore this dress in Africa. The colors were vibrant and the style is so versatile. I watched videos on YouTube for ideas on how to tie the top. I decided to go with a side tie. The leg slit was an added design benefit that added to the appeal of the dress.

Can I give 0 stars? Terrible fabric, terrible style, way overpriced. I am returning this dress. Do not buy.

Not true to size, too big

Beautiful dress! Bright colors! Multiple ways to tie it, so the dress really is versatile. I chose to keep it simple by tying it behind my neck and crossing over the front of the dress, but I equally like the one-shoulder look (not pictured) as well. The slit sits perfectly. This dress got a lot of attention in a room full of beautiful dresses!Note- there is no way to tie this (that I found) that allow for you to wear a bra. The bra will show in the sides and back. The material is thick enough, though, that I was not too worried about my nips being too prominent. Also, there is the tiniest bit of side boob depending on how you tie the dress. For me (c-cup) it was not very noticeable and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at the formal event I was attending.

First... Im 5'3", a 38D, and 183lbs. I got a large. It wasnt too long and the waist was stretchy so my stomach had room. So like most people, it took me a little while to actually decide how I wanted to wear the dress. These things are not good for indecisive people like myself lol but I loved the design I ended up with. Search "infinity dress" on YouTube and you will fall in love with all the possibilities. I ended up wearing a halter body suit underneath because I didnt want my backfat or my boobs to hang out, plus I needed to wear a strapless bra. It looked fine to me in the back with the shirt showing. I received sooooo many compliments. This was a very successful buy. I will be getting another one.

I ordered an extra large, it’s not that the dress doesn’t fit, this dress is not meant to be a wrap dress, the fabric is satiny, the bands at the top are thin. It leaves nothing to wrap, they’re also too short. Basically you just have tons of side boob hanging out, and there’s no way around it because there’s not enough strap to wrap it back around to hide any boobs. They need to hang much longer than the dress. The straps are basically as long as the dress. You need a lot more fabric to work with to wrap it. I own several wrap dresses I could not get this wrapped properly, I almost kept it and got a tube top, but when I tried the tank just to get it example, it doesn’t look right. This is a beautiful dress but they need to make the straps wider and longer.
