Burner for making looseleaf tea.
The burner is the perfect size for my mini stainless steel kettle for tea. It smelled bad the first few times I turned it on, but that subsided quickly.I'm glad I got it. You can run it off solar, just in case.

Very nice little hot plate
I have been wanting something like this for a while. Very useful for heating small portions in a small pot when stove burners are too large and energy- wasting. Cook a single egg or two...perfect.

I am using for my tea kettle. Gets so hot, can't go above setting #2

Doesn't work
Plugged it in and turned it on. The LED light did not come on and it did not get hot. Tried putting a pot on it in case it was weight sensitive but it still did not work.

mini hotplate
I purchased this mini hot plate to use with my very small battery box during a short power outage. It is super small - the burner is about the size of a cup warmer. But in a pinch, I think it will work well. I store it with the battery box in my outage emergency kit. I expect it work just as I need it to in a pinch - having said that - I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.
