i believe to get 3000 watts the rating is for 220 which china uses in plug in appliances so they modified to run on 110 . specs show 50htz heater will not be bothered if used 60htz but i bet wattage on 110 is less than 1500 the normal recommended on a 120 15 amp circuit if nothing else plugged in about 1750 watts over 1800 will trip a 15 amp breaker

I think a few may have missed the fact that it's a "Hot water heater" so take that extremely literally, it takes hot water and heats it ! Should be called a "water heater"

Q: If you run a closed loop with a pump, will this heater boil water?

I don't think you can set the temp high enough to Boil water. But in a loop it is more likely that the thing will overheat/melt/short-out because there is no safety shutdown circuit, it is a very simple device, not like the more expensive ones.

Hi friend, if you're still waiting for an answer, at your hardware store, there are pipe adapters for your hose. It will have "pipe thread" on one end and "garden hose thread" on the other. Usually found in single-sale bags hanging from a hook. The hose end is simply called "garden hose thread", probably 3/4" size. The other end is probably "pipe thread". Measure the outer thread size, approximate, to match the fitting you need. : )
