I have been a vegetarian for 53 years and something of a connoisseur of edible fungi. My daughter had bought me some of the teriyaki Pan's vegan jerky and it was love at first bite. It really is the best vegan jerky I've had, but understand that I already was writing love letters to my fungi favs. It has a lasting wonderful texture that most jerky fanatics are looking for though the flavor doesn't last quite as long and diminish in pizzazz after a few minutes. The ingredients are pretty much all organic which is an added plus.

Awful! Awful taste. Awful texture. Awful aftertaste. My son called it the equivalent of dog food for humans. I had one bite and threw the package away it was so bad. I will never buy this again.

OK - well I thought my beef jerky at my local supermarket was expensive, until I bought these! I know, I should have read the listing better on Amazon, but I did not...I bought these because I turn to SharkTank ever so often when I end the news and need something to watch for 30 mins or so... During an episode, they had a 3 minute summary this product and the seller and how much money he had made along with his Shark. The video showed it being manufactured by smiling people in a great place... And, that, is when I saw the (larger) packets of mushroom jerky falling off the end of a conveyer belt. I will say those packages looked WAY bigger than what showed up on my doorstep.So - buyer beware - these things are tiny.They are pretty good though. There was no option for me to purchase a 3 pack of three different flavors, so I purchased the Teriyaki. Much more chewy (good) than I thought mushrooms could be. I am not vegan. I love steak, at least once a week. But these were pretty good. Just a terrible value - in my mind.

I liked this product so much so that I have a subscription for it. Here is the thing...it used to taste soft...easy to come apart and flavory. What I am receiving now is not the same. I ordered 4 packages and all 4 packages consisted of a product that was sub par to what i was receiving when I first started purchasing this product. Usually I would get a package like this previously and say...ok, i got a bad batch...the other packages will be better. So what I receive now is a product that you can chew and chew and its very hard to swallow....so much so that you can lose a tooth if you are not careful. The product no longer has that same texture where it is easy to tear a piece off. Not the same texture and not the same flavory taste. Its as if im buying a product that is past its expiration date. I do not know if I will keep my subscription. Hope you guys have better luck.

If you loved jerky as a meat eater, you will absolutely love this! Texture, flavor, chew, spot on!!!! And probably the most important point is there are no chemicals, ingredients you don't know or can't pronounce. Just mushrooms and spices!!!!

I love having jerky on a road trip- it's a great and healthy-ish snack. I chose to try these in an effort to get away from the beef ones. I couldn't even eat the one piece I had and ended up throwing the whole bag away. I knew to expect a weird texture since it's dried mushrooms, but it was really chewy- almost inedible. Then the flavor hit me- one of the most foul things I've tasted. It was supposed to be salt & pepper- a flavor I chose expecting it would be, well, salt & pepper. It was sweet, tasted like fake smoke flavor- definitely not salt & pepper. And it just seemed stale, even though it was freshly opened. Oh, don't get me started on the smell.I'll stick with other road trip snacks...
