Solar is free power, why not?
Fan worked right out of the box. Installation was actually pretty easy. When the sun went behind clouds, and the fan didn't have direct sunlight, it was still working. At sunset, with very low light, it was still working. I cant really give a review on temperature improvements because its really not that hot here yet. I done hours of research of solar fans, and Remington Solar stood out, for me, from the rest. Its a solid design. I am very pleased with the purchase of their product. I highly recommend this product if you're searching for an attic exhaust fan, that won't add to your already ridiculous power bill.

Increased dust in house ?
Have others noticed an increase in dust buildup inside the home after installation? I have. I have the thing set at maximum open setting, so I may need to set it so that it isn’t as open. If anyone else is experiencing dust issues, please let me know.

Works great
Still going strong over a year later! Mount your sensor low and away from the fan so it’s not as affected by the draft. Feature request: would love a cover accessory for winter!

Cooling your attic like magic
The media could not be loaded. I have a ranch. the attic above the garage is not insulated. In summer, it is so hot that it feels like sauna room. I install this attic fan. It keeps my garage temperature to the same as outside and doesn't cost me a penny. How could this happen. It has air flow rate of more than 1000 CFM. It will refresh my entire attic air in 10 minutes. That could be the magic. Following the YouTube examples, replacing my old, dead attic fan is just five minutes.I added some Teflon tape at the edge of the fan such that when the fan runs, the tapes will fly, telling me the fan is running. See the video. Even in a cloudy day like this, the fan is still running decently. If yours is not cool enough, your roof's eaves may not be properly vented.

Very impressed
First checked to make sure it was working out of the box, I sat it in sunlight and it immediately kicked on. Even standing next to it the noise level was hardly noticeable. Install was very easy even though messing with shingles and the roofs water tight seal is intimidating. Just be sure to use a lot of roof rated sealant. It even was running on a very cloudy day.We noticed a near immediate difference in the amount of time our AC unit was running. On a typical day it would kick on around 2pm and run constantly until at least 9. The day of instillation the AC only ran for an hour straight with temps in the low 100s.On the hottest day since install the AC hasn’t struggled with keeping the house 5 degrees cooler than the lowest it could get running 7 hours a day.I absolutely recommend this product to anyone with an attic having problems keeping their house cool.

good build quality
This 30 watt vent fan moves a good bid of air. My house only gets very early morning shade and is in full sun the rest of the day. There is a significant difference in my attic temperature, AC running less, awesome. Even when it is over cast I can see the few cobwebs in my attic moving. You MUST have good venting at your eves to be able to draw a good draft. Using a Strobescope app it appears the fan spins at 2150 RPMs in full sun and 950 RPMs when over cast. So, even when mild clouds/overcast it still moves over 45% of full sun. I have recommended this fan to several people and would buy it again.

Super expensive mistake
I purchased this attic fan less than a year ago and just loved it my electrician was impressed however it just stopped working several days ago. I also invested in a backup electrical cord for it. That is how I knew the fan had failed. I could hear ticking and traces it to the attic. The fan was attempting to work. I am now past the return and assistance period. I am stuck with a hot attic and a white elephant attic fan that I now need to replace yet again. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
