Daughter of the Pirate King

I really loved this book and i bought it's 2 one too...the story is so great that i completed the book in 2 days......Everyone should buy this .... because I'll give more than 5 stars 🤩

The story is amazing and the quality of the book was wonderful just the delivery was delayed

Rating: 4.5This book brought me out of the reading slump.After finishing the Crooked Kingdom, I was on a major reading slump and I tried everything from re-reading my fav book to reading books from my comfort genre. Nothing worked, and I was feeling bad. I have started reading at least 6 books before this to get me out reading slump. I am so happy that I found this one.It's fast-paced.The characters are witty and intelligent.Character banter is good.The storyline is interesting.There were times when I felt that the character's actions are not in line with their attitude, but overall it's a good book and I definitely recommend it to others.

this book was just my taste everything rolled into one. i recommend this book alot!! the way the characters took in charge of the situations was very fun to read. the plot was just so unique!!

Tricia Levenseller had impressed me with her writing in The Shadows Between Us and I was waiting to grab a copy of her successful Daughter of the Pirate King series. Thankfully I was not disappointed, for having grown up with Jack Sparrow, who wouldn’t wanna read a love story of pirates and all that swashbuckling? Well, I did get cheated on by the lack of a hero’s flamboyance a la Jack Sparrow but was more than compensated for it as Daughter of The Pirate King was all about Princess Alosa and her sassy kick ass attitude.The plotline of the search for a part of a map which is to be joined together for the discovery of untold treasures on an island and Alosa forcing herself to be captured so as to explore the ship Night Farer was beyond exciting and of course what a characterization for Alosa. Author Tricia Levenseller deserves a pat on her back simply for the balance of the fine thread she manages to weave for her heroine. Alosa is at times cruel ready to slit the throat of her captors to make her point, she is a warrior in her own right and has no qualms about getting dirty to achieve what she wants. She is equal parts a fighter and a seductress. But the author carefully keeps the dry sarcastic and witty side of her behavior for the readers to connect with her human side. There is so much about Alosa that one learns with her interactions with Riden, though I did wish the chemistry between them had more spark. ’coz all the focus was on Alosa and her various activities somehow Riden’s character fails to garner much attention. The moral dilemma he suffers from being a kidnapper and interrogator never gets conveyed believably.Hoping that the next book in the series does rectify this shortcoming and we get to see Riden as more of a force to reckon with against Alosa. The romance between them is kept to the minimum as Alosa forces herself to focus on her task of finding the map but I loved how she feels like a fool when the truth comes to light about her nocturnal activities. The background story of Alosa and the torture she endures under her father does give a sense of the steel in her backbone and again the author balances that with her empathy and love for her crew.Looking forward to catching up with the Daughter of the Siren Queen at the earliest.

Me gustó que empodera a la mujer, que ella es fuerte y calculadora, y cómo se da la relación con Ridden. Pero odié el final.

Essa foi uma das leituras mais divertidas que já tive! A combinação de piratas com uma narrativa única pelo ponto de vista da Alosa é irresistível! Apesar de ter acontecimentos sérios e determinantes, seu jeito de contar deixa tudo sempre descontraído! Li em um dia e vou começar o segundo agora mesmo!Tem duas coisas em especial que eu amei no livro. A primeira delas é a própria Alosa. Seu jeito irreverente, destemido e ainda assim calculado me conquistou logo de cara! Tem muitas coisas nela que, em outras histórias, poderiam ser consideradas características de uma anti-heroína, mas ela é uma pirata e isso definitivamente faz tudo ser perdoado antes mesmo de começar o livro. Claro que ela também não é invencível ou completamente insensível - sim, foi ótimo ver esse seu lado também, - mas adoro como ela não se desculpa por nada e faz o que quer. Adorei ver que ela não facilitou nada para ninguém, mesmo com seu objetivo em mente. E amei todas as suas tiradas sarcásticas! Vai ser triste me despedir dela no final do segundo livro!Também não posso deixar de falar do romance! Que química! Esse livro é perfeito para quem ama romance entre duas pessoas que começam se odiando! Eu raramente sou convencida por casais assim, mas super fui pela Alosa e um certo carinha aqui. Completamente! Eu nem podia ter imaginado que o romance desse livro seria tão bem feito e tão divertido também!Essas são as razões principais para meu amor pelo livro, mas tenho que admitir que adorei muitos dos personagens secundários do livro, mesmo até alguns que apareceram pouco! A equipe da Alosa me conquistou logo no primeiro capítulo, mais ainda no último, e até alguns de seus sequestradores me ajudaram a gostar ainda mais do livro! E o Riden foi especialmente interessante!É verdade que a história não tem uma grande complexidade, que nada é completamente surpreendente e inesperado e que talvez tenha acabado e desenvolvido um pouco rápido. Mas não posso negar o quanto eu adorei o livro! Ri várias vezes, li todo o resto pelo menos sorrindo e não queria parar de ler nunca. Esse é bem do tipo de livro que poderia ter setecentas páginas e eu ainda iria querer acabar em um dia e ir direto para o próximo! Não dá para cansar!Recomendo para todo mundo que gosta de uma leitura descontraída com uma tema diferente da maioria dos livros assim e com uma protagonista sarcástica e divertida que ainda é capitã de seu próprio navio!

El libro es muy bonito , compre la edición de pasta dura a muy buen precio lo compre por eso y por qué me gustan las historias de piratas, llego en excelentes condiciones tiene guardapolvo y hasta un mapa muy lindo de un barco que sirve de referencia las letras son impecables y el papel es de calidad, la historia es Y/A pero más adulta de lo que esperaba , es un poco fanfiction pero buen fanfiction , yo aprecio un buen fanfic , la prota parece un poco Mary sue pero le vas agarrando cariño ,se te va rápido y te diviertes , he escuchado comparaciones con throne of glass , pero NADA QUE VER ,este tiene coherencia.

Não é o livro mais lindo que já comprei, mas espero que a história não me decepcione
