I purchased the sphagnum moss to repot my stanhopea orchids. When I purchased the plants they were growing in plastic pots and were ready for me to copy the wrapping procedure recommended by successful stanhopea enthusiasts. Some orchid growers have recommended mixing sphagnum moss with bark when repotting. I also top dressed most of my other orchids with the moss to maintain humidity.

Better than others
I do believe this product is the real NZ moss. Clean, good quality and not mouldy unlike the most. Pity that it is no longer available.

My first time making a moss pole!
I was happy to find the larger size of sphagnum moss since I really didn't know how much I would really need to make a large pole for my Monstera plant. I used 3 sturdy bamboo poles wired together, soaked at least half of the bale and started wrapping. I'm very pleased and will use the rest to make a pole for my huge arrowhead plant. Great purchase!

Over Priced for the size
Buyer beware I guess, I was shocked at how small this package was for over $30! No free returns so I guess its a lesson learned. I can get 3x the amount at Lowes for the same money.
