Once we got beyond the difficulty of installing the valve itself, the Grohe Rapido model, we found that the face-plates themselves, with simple and intuitive controls, are quite good, in comparison to our Delta and Moen bathrooms, although not quite as good as Moen. This design was especially smooth in the valve-control action and the square design covered the hole that much more accurately, with no gaps in coverage requiring additional caulking.Installation is easy, if you have the Rapido box prei-nstalled, and switching these out was easy for us. We tried three different models and each one worked beautifully, with an easy control lever for temperature and for turning on and off and also a wonderful lever for switching functions, on the two-shower-arm models. Overall, we really like these.Now to the downside....The Rapido box was very difficult to install. So, if you have a professional installer, a person you genuinely trust, I highly recommend this system. If you don't, I think you should look at the other great brands, Delta and Moen. The Rapido box is complex, often arrives with damage to a removable part that is actually meant to be thrown away and can be very difficult to level properly. Once it has been installed, however, Grohe has some of the nicest face-plates in the industry, not because of beauty, as I actually prefer a different style, but because of ease-of-use and ease of swapping them out.I wish you luck in finding a shower valve and plate combination that will work for you. This is a wonderful option but only if you have a professional installer that can handle the Rapido box. It was too difficult for us and, as much as I am enjoying these, I will be the first to say that it was the most difficult shower-install we have ever faced.

I bought this product because of Grohe's reputation. I have now learned that their reputation is a relic of the past. This product does not live up to any decent standards. Behaves like a $10 trim, not $500. The control buttons are cheap plastic and fail to stay in place when turning the temp knob: the caps of the temp knob literally pops out as you twist it forcing me to constantly push it back in. My plumber identified it right away, saying: "this is cheap plastic garbage, this is a poor product". It has already been installed, and will cost me another visit to remove and replace w a better brand. Stay away!!

First, this comes with / without a diverter valve. Hence the single or dual function. If you have two different shower heads that u want to operate, ONE or the other, then order the double.I buy and install tons of Grohe products.nearly all of them get 5 stars from me. They are that good... Customer service is always first class as well. IN 25 yrs of installing Grohe, I only had to call in a few times, that says a LOT!First, the trim is every bit Grohe, finish is superb, design, superb. That is what Grohe is known for, so 5 stars there. The pix represent the product well.Also, for newbs, this is just the trim, not the rough in valve that is behind the trim, that needs to be purchased sepateratly, (GROHE Rapido SmartBox 35 601 000) — add $88. the trim should be installed square, but most good installers know this, however Grohe builds in an adjustment feature for out of plumb valves.I would not tackle a task like this if you are a DIY plumber. Remember, the wall is covered after installation, so any problems, u gotta hack through the wall to get to the valve. If new construction, and an outsie wall, try to place an access panel to the valve outside (assuming you dont live in a frigid area!), specially if you have solid paneling in the shower area such as quartz.The SafeStop feature is starting to be very commonplace on these valves, to prevent scalding. Will only allow you to go so far towareds hot, then, you press a button to pass this point to hotter, a nice safety feature.Hard to know love the look of these fixtures, and for me, I love the square and round desing of this trim. Overall, another top notch fixture from Grohe.

So excited about this product. My dad, who is a retired contractor, has installed a bunch of these, and highly recommends Grohe products, so I jumped on the opportunity to get this. He had to order the rough-in-set for me, as it doesn't come with the product. He said installation was fairly simple, and it works, but he is still putting my shower back together and letting everything dry before I can use it for an actual shower. I realized after he installed it that I can control the volume and the temperature separately, so if I want just a small stream of hot water, I can do that. It's such an upgrade from my previous shower where I had very little control over the volume.The stainless steel is beautiful, the buttons are nice, controls feel great in to touch!

On the outside the fixture looks metal, it is actually painted plastic. It is remarkable how fragile and flimsy the parts are.

I've been using the trim and it's been great. The adjustable trim angle comes in very handy and the QuickFix mounting system made installation a breeze. I also love the chrome finish, adds a nice touch to my bathroom. The single function and the TurboStat cartridge work flawlessly. It's also very easy to use. I highly recommend it.

Bought already two of those, one to install, in 6 month another to replace, impossible to install, two plumbers tried to install, both times failed, parts broken, poor quality, plastic handles, do not keep the temperature, basically do not work. Already wasted almost 800 dollars, stay away from this brand/model.
