Mitutoyo 950-202, American Standard Wire Gage for 0-36 Gage Non-Ferrous Wire

bought this and an iron/steel model together. well made and easy to read. not sure how these compare to starrett gauges but, they are much less expensive

Great gage, works great. Only gripe is the "Mitutoyo 950-202" on the top is lasered and not engraved as pictured. A cost cutting move. The rest is as pictured.

This is a review in flux. I had to send back my first one as it was so poorly made! machine marks and over sawing of the groves had me doubting accuracy. If you can't calibrate the machine cutting grooves to less than .125 inch, how can we expect the grooves themselves to be within .002 inch?The several slots I was able to measure were good so I refrain from "hated it" and will reserve final judgement for the replacement one.Can go either way at this point…. Stay tuned!
