A good introduction to Cybersecurity
I have read this book to get an overview of the topic of cybersecurity, and this book provides an excellent overview. It focuses on what you need for, and how to get into, a carer in cybersecurity. It is written in a easy to read language, and should be interesting to both young people considering cybersecurity as a career path and people who has worked in IT for many years.

Great place to start
This book was very helpful in providing strategies and opinions from high level people in the cybersec field and multiple views on the various roles. If anyone still has doubts as to which role you want to pursue, there are links to many resources to learn more. The book also gives a start to finish look at the path to go from zero to job and the best ways to achieve it. 100% recommend if you, even in the slightest, are a little overwhelmed from abundance of choice.

Good starter book
I’m a network engineer so when I recently started getting more into the security side of things I decided I needed a good book to get up to speed on the basics. This one came recommended by a friend and they were absolutely correct. It was easy to read and understand. The topics are laid out in an organized manner which flow from one to another nicely. I feel more confident diving more into cybersecurity after reading this book.

Up to date and important information
This book is a must-have if you're considering the job in cyber security. It covered much more than my online classes and got me ready for the actual skills I need for a job in the real world.

A "very" beginner's guide
If you've never read another book about cybersecurity, start with this one. It will lay out the basics for you, telling you ABOUT most of the relevant topics such as penetration testing, integration of machine language into cyberdefense, and what a SOC is. I stress the word "about" because there is no depth to this book at all. The chapter on "labs" is a paragraph review on various outdated and expired websites that offer, or used to offer, useful hands-on exercises a few years ago. Spending three chapters on career planning and certifications at this point in your learning is silly. So, start with this book. Then quickly move on. Dr. Ozkaya has a great writing style an obvious mastery of the topic. I strongly recommend that you move quickly to his Cybersecurity: Attack and Defense Strategies book. Now THAT is a good book on cybersecurity.

Cybersecurity careers resource
Some reviewers seem to think this book will teach you cyber security but it's more about cybersecurity careers and in that area it really shines. (Though the author did have a really good tip about dns) I want to thank the author (and all the other people who contributed) for this great resource.
