Skin Act 5 Head Infrared Heat Lamp with Flexible Arms, Infra red lamp, Infrared Light

I love my lamp so much. I got it to help me with my immune system and cancer BUT OMG! It worked on my autonomic nervous system so well that it was shocking! I was so impressed! I am a practitioner of a method for reducing PTSD symptoms in people. Have been for many years. Am always looking for ways to help people restore their "fight or flight" to its optimal settings (turning off when there is no threat present). As soon as I sat down under my lamp, I had an immediate "clearing" of some past trauma, that I recognized because of my training. I was in awe. This went on for nearly 20 minutes while I just observed. Afterward I went and looked up PTSD & Infrared light and found the studies. Whoa. This lamp has the right amount of power to induce calming effects when used regularly. BTW, I was introduced to this exact lamp when I would go do treatments for cancer. While sitting there with the IV bag, I could feel very relaxed and warmed. I knew my body was craving it enough for me to buy my own. It was not untl I was in the comfort and safety of my own home, with only family around, that I experienced the deepest level of relief. I do think environment will matter, however it's amazing to think that light is capable of inducing powerful healing states! Highly recommend. Finally, my lamp came with all the parts. A friend and I put it together in 4 minutes, once everything was unboxed. It was nice to have a second set of hands but I could have done it by myself. We did use a set of plyers for the piece that connects the base to the pole, Not sure it was necessary but it did help to get things very, very tight. I would buy again. Am saving up to get one for my parents who are elderly. They need this!!!

I don't review many items, but this one surpassed my expectations so much, I wanted to share!I purchased this to use for a sauna experience in a home where I don't have space or finances for an actual sauna.Given the price ranges I researched, I figured I was purchasing a lower end light fixture. I was wrong.This was well-packaged, easy to assemble, came with great instructions and a lovely catalog of more products. It functions beautifully and is a great weight. I thought it may be easy to tip. It isn't. The construction is solid.The heads flex well but are very firm, which to me, says they will last a long time and never flop over to possibly burn something or someone.There is a dimming switch and a separate power switch.The height of the heads can be raised and lowered by a spring mechanism in the center rod and tightening bolt on the side.Each bulb has a metal cover that is very easy to remove and replace--what?! That never happens :). But, neither do I fear that they will fall out randomly. Once they're in, they are secure.The unit came with an extra light bulb for a total of 6, rather than just the 5 to suit the unit's heads.I cannot explain how solid I find the whole unit to be and how many things I was greatful for in the design as I put it together and have been using it. I have zero safety worries and the convenience factor is entirely there.Great product!!

This is not built very sturdy. T?he base of it, if only it had a metal piece to hold the bottom in place, it would be perfect...... but it has a plastic piece.......... and for this not to be sturdy, is pretty dangerous..I bought it because I wanted to lay my mom under it as often as possible......... and it almost fell on her.............. and almost gave me a heart attack... she didn't even notice, but omg if it had fallen on her...........Yes, that's a really big deal....... but...... I'm not properly set up over here either...... I just reallllllllyyyy think they need to do something about the bottom attachment piece to make this thing completely sturdy, because those lights get HOT!!!..........Also when it showed up one of the lights was broken..... I never said anything to anyone about it though because it was for the night in the middle, and I don't really need that one........ But I probably should have just to get it replaced.The last negative thing is that it makes a pretty loud humming noise while it's on. And depending on the brightness, it gets louder. (oddly it gets louder as the lights go dimmer....)But on a bright note........ I can barely ever actually get my mom to get undressed to actually let the light shine on her skin....... (She doesn't know who I am most of the time, so I can't blame her....... ) but one time I was able to get her to....... we laid under it for probably 45 minutes........ and she was in such a bright and cheery mood after we got up.......... it was awesome.So. Red light therapy really works.......... as far as this product goes.......... the fact that it's not totally sturdy, I think is dangerous, especially if you're in my situation with an older parent......... but it was the best one I could find. I don't regret buying it, but I hope that they replace the plastic piece at the bottom with metal.

What happens when everything goes perfectly - is one thing. The measure of customer service is how things are handled when things are not perfect. It takes one phone call and if there is a problem with an item - it is handled. I am very happy with the customer service this company offers. I had a couple of very small issues with this item and they were taken care of immediately. I purchased one for myself a couple of years ago (which I am still using) and had an issue with a defective bulb - I received replacements in a few days. Recently, I purchased one of these for my son in another state - he had an issue with one of the steel cages and it was replaced in a couple of days, then there was an issue with one bulb - so they sent two good bulbs right away. Let's face it, things are things and humans are humans.... things go wrong. What measures a company is how it's handled when something goes wrong and this company gets an A+.
