I'm an editor (and occasional gamer). I eventually purchased two of these hospital-grade monitor arms. The first occasion was due to painful knee issues - my meniscus required an operation - as I couldn't sit at my desk for several months - I had the arm installed (pictured) with a special, long active Displayport cable to power the native 1440p @ 240hz of my Samsung Odyssey G7 32" - make sure you check the specs of your monitor and factor in display & power cables - I thought this monitor would be as large as I could go (I'm used to a Samsung Odyssey G9 49" display on my desk). I'm sure there's no monitor 32" or bellow this arm can't handle.The arm holds the large, weighty monitor perfectly & with ease at any articulation & angle for any length of time. I was so impressed I purchased another arm for my editing suite so that the G7 monitor can swing from above the Samsung Odyssey G9 clear over to the lazy boy recliner, as well as to another higher desk to edit to give my posture some freedom.Do not hesitate. It's brilliant hardware, for the money, especially when you consider the Ergotron HX arm (with adapter) to hold a Samsung Odyssey G9 a little over foot for a desk is nearly £300!Note: you can install the arm a lot higher from your bed than mine. Full disclosure: the bed/arm/monitor pictured was actually captured in my office. There's no way ones wife would be happy about such tech in our bedroom :-)The speakers are part of a 7.1 surround setup and nothing to do with the aforementioned hardware.
