South Shore Vito 6-Drawer Double Dresser, Soft Gray

The finish on the product is nice. Packaging came through with out having any obvious marring. There was one edge that had a slight abrasion on it but this was easily fixed with a wood stain pen. The drawers seemed to line up just fine for me. With all the joints and connection points fastened with a good wood glue. Once cured it feels very stable. The drawer space is decent not huge but you naturally loose a touch of space with rollers over standard wood on wood drawer design. The bottoms of the drawers are holding up fine.While it might not be super high end solid wood antique quality construction. It feels much better than Ikea furniture I've had in the past. A fair price on the product helps as well.Shipping was rather slow, it sat in canada for 3 days before it finally left. But it did come in the window promised.

I had the reviews on this product and I decided to order it. I always do my research before I buy something like this because it is suppose to last me for a while. I built the dresser and everything was perfect, however, the drawers didn't fit all the same and some were a little cockeyed. But who was I to complain about a little imperfections. Fast forward four months and the drawers are now falling apart. The bottom of the drawers can't even hold the weight of nike shorts let alone jeans. The drawers are bottoming out, and if they're not, the back board of the drawer is coming off as I open the drawer. It is a complete mess and I would not recommend this product to anyone. Save your money and don't buy this dresser. Just purchased one from Ikea for less and it is way sturdier than this dresser. I would post pictures but I was so tired of it falling apart that I just threw every drawer away along with the rest of it.

I ordered a bunch of the South Shore Vito collection (2x Nightstands, 2x 6 Drawer double dressers, the Storage bed, and Bookcase Headboard). All items were shipped and delivered quickly. The boxes are very heavy (the Night stands are fairly lightweight but dressers and especially the bed frame are very hard (the bed frame nearly impossible! to move by yourself). The UPS guy was kind enough to help me move all of them inside my 2nd floor apartment (thank god there is an elevator!). All items were packaged extremely well, no damage to any of the pieces, and all parts were included.Assembly was very easy, just kind of time consuming (this was my first time assembling any furniture so if I can do it anyone can). All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and a hammer. I assembled the two Nightstands and one of the 6 drawer dressers the first day while watching Scarface (so over the span of a little over 2 hours) by myself, having two or more people would definitely be awesome, not required at all as I had no difficulty assembling everything alone, but would definitely save you alot of time if you have more than one item to assemble.After assembly I wiped all the packaging dust off and applied a little windex, all the pieces are very sturdy (I have a loft apartment, bedroom is upstairs, as I was by myself I flipped the double dresser over and over up the stairs to get it up, the piece felt very solid, no loose parts or flimsyness) and everything looks great! I sent one of the double dressers back (without taking it out of the package) only because I underestimated their size, they are quite large, more than adequate in the space department, I have some closet space and along with one of these would be hard pressed to fill up the one, let alone two ha.Overall very satisfied with all the South Shore Items I ordered and assembled and would gladly order from them in the future.

Overall really satisfied with my purchase. This was just the dresser we were looking for our bedroom to replace our large bulky dresser cabinet that didn't match anything. The dresser is sturdy but I'd build it in the room you want it in for moving a distance or often might brake something for its not solid wood it's particleboard. Fyi to anyone that buys this that for some odd reason the drawers don't all fit in any spot..I know doesn't make sense but I had multiple drawers that would only fit snug in specific spots and if I put some where else they wouldn't shut all the way. I thought at first I put it together wrong or maybe the pre drilled holes were off and I'd have to drill my own but for the heck of it I tried it in a different spot and BAM it fit perfectly. Had the same thing happen with 2 others but in the end everything fit perfectly and opens and closes fine. The directions would be my only complaint. They are terrible, just pictures and not very specific to detail. Most of the boards don't come labeled but are labeled in the directions so you have to pick and choose what goes with what and hope it's right. Luckily I took my time and got it all right. It took around 2hrs to put together.Pros: good and sleek looking, worth the priceCons: not the easiest to put together and the directions it comes with are worse than IKEA's directions, sturdy but I wouldn't move it often for I don't think it'd last long, not solid wood.
