Yes, it is similar unit, same material of water basin (stong light plastic (not glass). LED light cannot be turned off. Thank You

The bowl is made of a sturdy plastic, it is not dishwasher safe so do not put in the dish washer or you will need to get a new bowl.

Q: How do you clean the unit (not the bowl)?

I run Vinegar and lemon juice together in mine. Cleans it up really nice

Q: How long can you leave it on? Do you leave it on while you're out?

You can leave it on as much as needed, I would recommend to not leave it on when you leave, as with any other electronics would not recommend to leave unattended. Thank you.
