I've been buying these pens for several years and absolutely love them.They are comfortable to hold, write smoothly and never create "blotchy" output. The ink is refillable, which is great since one of my dogs, AKA "Little Piranha," continually chews on pen barrels. At the very least I can salvage the ink from one of her victims, for use in a different pen.Last but not least, these pens are various colors. My favorite inks are blue and purple, which are beautiful shades that make writing more fun.

I do a lot of writing. I often fill out carbon forms, take rapid notes and move on quickly, and I sign a lot of documents. For me, these gel writers are smoother than ball points. They don't leave ink gaps, even in a hasty signature. The ink looks great, and they have a precise tip strong enough to leave a clear impression on the bottom page of a multipage carbon form. The retractable tip is good for being on the go with my hands full. They are light, and have a comfortable grip and feel. I tend to destroy pocket clips, and when you do so on these, the pen survives well and the removal does not leave any sharp or jagged or unsightly edges. The price is great and, even better, my next purchase will be an even more economical box of replacements cartridges. I've bought costlier pens, and liked them too, but these are just as good. Given the price, they're a great purchase.

So easy to write with - glides on the page. I have small hands and it is comfortable to hold. Not all pens are. NEVER skips, leaks, or leaves little blobs as you write. Each pen lasts a long time - even though they are more expensive than pens people usually buy, considering the ease of writing, high quality, and how long lasting they are, they are well worth the price.

These are my favorite brand of pens. They always come up missing, and then I can never find them. I ordered the ink cartridges to replace rather than just throw the pen away.

Im a 79 year old practicing Attorney. I have been using ball points since forever, These Pentel pens are the smoothest writing pens Ive ever used or will ever use cause for whatever number of years I have left in this world, I will not consider using any other pen but A Pentel I have all three models and I have bought over 40 of them in a few months. No Im not reselling them. Im giving them away as a very special present to carefully chosen attorneys in my lawfirm. The black and chrome metal models are classy. I like best the two tone (Blue-chrome colored plastic models models) and the all blue plastic models only because they are a little lighter that the chrome ones. They are cheaper too. I also prefer the needle point refills. They are so smooth writing they are the best, believe me. Nothing can compare with its smoothness. You have to be careful with one thing only. The ink is not waterproof. Ive had no problem with this cause I know about this and I dont get my papers wet. that is all. I would be failing amazon clients if I didnt write about how good these pens are. Like I said, Im buying them so I can make my friends and fellow attorneys a little happier than they were before I introduced them to these pens. Try them. You will be amazed.

One of the pens was defective because the push knob at the top did not operate properly.

Have used Pentel EnerGel retractable liquid gel pens for over 10 years. Never dry out, write more smoothly than any other pen, gel ink is dark and dries quickly, and pens last a very long time per refill. You'll never go back to using old ballpoint pens once you try these!
