Essential playbook for streetsmart business owners
Do yourself (or the entreprenuer in your life) a huge favor and READ and APPLY the lessons learned in this book! Useful tactics to improve your business are presented in a clear and entertaining manner. Don't expect any gimmicks or silver bullets, just practical advice on how to tune your business from a seasoned pro who's seen it a million times before. It's presented in a way that's digestible for anyone with even a moderate interest in this topic, but even readers who are savvy in accounting will find helpful lessons packaged in a very entertaining book. I've bought two copies already and it's my go-to gift for any entreprenuer.

A much needed perspective on accounting
I really hate to call this an accounting book. It is really about building a profitable business that you would want to own. Jason does a wonderful job of showing you how building the business of your dreams relies on your numbers. The numbers you need rely on good accounting. Jason shows you to focus on the numbers that matter to build a successful life and a great business.I have enjoyed Jason's writing for some time now. It is great to see his thoughts on business pulled together in this book. I highly recommend this book to all entrepreneurs. Regardless of how long you have been running your business you will learn something from this book!

More than just a book about accounting and numbers....
This book covers more than just advice about how business owners can better understand their finances. It goes into the psyche of 2 fictional business owners, Brendan and Sarah, and the growing pains that they face when trying to expand their businesses. Jason's writing style is from the heart and he provides insight around many of his own experiences around the building of his own business to help explain his points further. There are plenty of examples and tools that will help any aspiring business owner get to the heart of what drives their business financially. A very easy and enjoyable read unlike many other books that cover this and similar topics.

Nice title
Worth the read. The book has enough nuggets to help most business owners.Accounting should be seen as accountability and used to increase profits. Pulling the right levers can make a huge difference. Agree. Have seen it many times.

Seriously helpful and no fluff
I was recommended this book by one of my most successful clients who has been busy scaling a business for awhile. This book did not disappoint. It’s a really cutting to the chase no BS no filler type book which I really like. It’s based on the author’s deep expert training and experience as an entrepreneur which I also really like. There are five basic principles that the author lays out for I guess financial management if that’s the correct word, and that’s refreshingly straightforward. I want to re-read this book and absorb more of the details but the way it is structured means you can also absorb the basic lessons very quickly because he summarises each of the principles very neatly. So together a practical yet insightful book and highly recommended for any operator of a small or medium size business.

Get Naked! A business genre revelation!
Stark Naked Numbers is a revelation in business books. Its is such an easy read, breaking concepts down, a practical guide to accounting and to business. I found myself with notebook open, taking notes, and have dog eared the book as I look to refer and organise my business better - and I am an Accountant by trade, prior to being a startup founder. The value is there for existing financial experience and for complete novices. I would put this in a must read for everyone in business and entrepreneurship. And accountants should also open it up to remember the value proposition they should bring.

Absolutely essential (and entertaining) reading for founders!
This is such an important read for founders, whether you are at the start of your journey or 8 years in like me!Many business owners I know tough it out and try and figure this stuff out on the fly. Some things we accidentally get right, others we over-complicate because of all the noise! The tips in this book are so digestible, practical and easily applied - I'm kicking myself that I didn't stumble across it sooner, but thrilled that I got there in the end.And believe it or not, it's actually a really entertaining read! As someone who is not numbers-inclined, I did not see that coming! I inhaled this book over a weekend.Highly, highly recommend.
