Very beautiful and well built, this is an heirloom piece. The only criticism I have is that the kings tend to fall over a little too easily. They are not perfectly balanced. Other than that, the whole set is magnificent.

First of all, this thing is HUGE! I can’t wait to gift it for Xmas!! It was shipped and wrapped up perfectly. Loads of bubble wrap, was wrapped and had a bow on it! Lots of protection to the board and all pieces. The pieces are NICE and heavy heavy weighted, they have some sort of fabric under them to protect board. Board is solid and GORGEOUS pictures just don’t do it justice at all. In person this board is just amazing. I don’t even like or play chess it’s a gift and it’s so high end I wanna keep it. The drawers are well put together and solid. There is a drawer on both sides. GET IT! Worth every penny!! I went broke over buying it and I’m HAPPY I did! Can’t go wrong here. This one is it!

I like the craftmanship of this chess set, quality and it has a beautiful appearance. I keep it permanently displayed on my coffee table.

This is a beautiful chess set. Extremely well made, pieces have weight to them. The inlaid wood is flawless. My son loves it and is a set meant to be passed down.

Traveling from such a distance I was concerned that there could be potential damage on such an expensive item. As I slowly unwrapped the layers of sheathing bubble wrap and paper I found everything perfect. Even each piece has black felt on the bottom that protects the glossy wood. Did I mention it came with a padded blue zipper custom case?Inside where the Chess pieces were shipped there was crimson felt material. Each piece had just a smidge of glue on it attached to the velvet to keep it in place. Additionally there was bubble wrap on top covering the pieces protecting them during the S & H. I took a photo of the bottom as well because I really wanted to do the review right. As you can see it too was finished and glossed. I did add some clear bumper pads on the bottom and that is why it was upside down so I thought to snap a pic of that for other potential buyers.Believe me when I say I searched online all over to find the best chess set at a fair price. With the gloss, the inlay, beautiful workmanship of the board & sides, the unique chess pieces that can be put into 2 built in drawers AND a carrying case? I was sold. I did not know I would even get a case with it. They even threw in 4 colorfully unique & beautiful Turkish coasters as a surprise! I am so happy! This is worth more than $600.00 in it entirety IIMHO. I will cherish this for years, take care of it and a family heirloom it shall become.It is the centerpiece of my living room. Just gorgeous! I cannot imagine the time the days & weeks spent to create such a work of art. I salute the worker / workers who created this as they are indeed a talented group.

It took so long to receive this order. When it did arrive the pullout door when the chess pieces are stored was broken. It is beautiful set. But the shipping was terrible.
