Mini Needle File Set, 12 Piece Set, 4 Inches | FIL-990.00

First of all, after reading the mixed reviews on these, I only ordered them from a vendor that had Free Returns available, as I thought there was a good chance they would be going back.The good..They are small (see picture showing three of them next to normal sized needle files and a toothpick for comparison). The smallest of them (round and square) are 2mm wide, where as the largest one (flat on both sides) is 3.5mm wide.The ones that are ok are not super good quality, but they do cut plastic and wood just fine, so they will work for Scale Modeling etc..The bad.. of the 12 files, one was broken and five of them had no cutting surfaces on one or both sides of the files, making them useless. There also seems to mixed bag of shapes..2 round, 2 square, 2 flat, 3 flat with pointed ends, one triangle and one with slight curves on both sides..I decided to return them, as I didnt feel the 6 files that are ok were worth the $12 I spent on them.. The good news is Amazon refunded my purchase, but didnt require me to actually return the product..so I at least get to keep the 6 good ones at no cost...

very small, probably too small for comfortable use in my hands except for the smallest of touchups. I have large hands for a woman--long fingers. Like a small size 8.5-9 glove hand for a man

First, let me say that I know these aren't Swiss files. I have their full size needle files(actually several sets) and I've always been satisfied with the regular needle files. However, these mini files were poorly shaped...didn't know if they were round or triangular, one of the files had no teeth to it so was useless. I have the larger files and I have been happy with them so I don't know why the quality would be so poor. If it was possible to give no stars that would have been my rating.

I am a jeweler and these are fantastic tools that are an integral part of my finishing kit. In fact, I have found them so useful that I have purchased 2 more sets to have available for my travel and backup setups. They are very handy files that do a fantastic job and get into all those hard to reach places. Highly recommended!

I bought this set for working with PMC. I’m very happy with it — represents a great value and does exactly what I need it to do.

They are mini but wow I can't seen to keep a hold of one to use it, so small. I bought to use in silversmithing cause they were recommended. Did not work for me.
