Or, at least, the 5 that I received were consistent and uniform and work well. 4 of the 5 even form back to a nice sharp tip with very little coaxing (like, if you twist it a bit as you slowly lift off the paper). The 5th really just comes to a sharp flat line (like the end of a 1/2" chisel). They aren't quite as refined as the $40 (for one brush) version that I have; but they are good to use and definitely worth getting.If I were to get just one, I like the way the light brown one (wolf) performs best.None of them is soft and floppy . . . more like wire haired terriers than sheep dogs, these brushes.

Beautiful big brushes!! Use the for Sumi ink paintings. Have not found a problem with hairloss . Love all the different hair qualities. Takes a while to clean them.😂 but perfect for what I need.Only gave it four stars as I just got them and don’t know how long they will last.

This is a nice set of brushes that are quite large and hold a lot of ink and water. I don't have enough experience to know if they are the best quality but I think they're great for the price. They lose a few hairs at first but I think that's pretty normal. When wet they seem to hold a nice point. My friend and I had a lot of fun making marks and practicing circles.

Exited about the brushes, unfortunately, two of the brushes came with loose or improperly glued handles. They just fall-off when I was inspecting the brushes. However, I can glue them myself and carry-on. No biggie.

Quality brush. Came as an individual brush, not a set. It doesn't seem to be losing a lot of hair, as most new brushes do. It's the right tool for larger Calligraphy and Bamboo painting, it fits the job perfectly, any other size would take a lot more effort. Comes to a great point.

One brush fell apart immediately due to insufficient glue and probably not the optimal glue for the job. The black plastic housing presents a large void that would require a copious amount of glue to retain the bristle fur. A little dab is all that is used. The handle is not inserted far enough into the black housing, thus there is insufficient surface area overlap for proper glue adhesion. Other than that it's okay (joke).

I haven't used it yet, but it sheds alot.

This brush is beautiful and functional. It produces a wonderful gliding flow of color and shapes when used. Love it
