IT IS AN OEM FILTER
Reviews have to be realistic....this is an OEM filter that says it all , depending on the vehicle and engine type it is used for ( many engines from 4 to 8 cylinders ) installation or removal maybe be a breeze of a pain in the buttocks .Therefore easy to install is meaningless, as is the mileage part of the review.I do my own oil and filter changes on all 3 of my vehicles at 3.500 hundred miles which often is more than 2.500 to as much as 12.000 miles sooner than some oil manufacturers say their oil will last. THAT IS A PIPE DREAM if you want reduced mileage and don`t care about wearing the engines internals go 15.000 miles between changes.Oil and filters are less costly than are replacement engines, you cannot kill them with kindness but can certainly do it with neglect. In addition by doing changes sooner tan recommended I have gotten over 350 thousand miles from all my vehicles in the past 35 years and achieved better than their stated average gas mileage some as much a 8 mpgs.So if your Chevy uses this filter ...buy it ...it is OEM ..and will last the length of the factory specified change interval

Quality for under $4!
I use this in my 2013 Silverado with the 5.3 (LMG) 6 speed flex fuel, AFM is turned off with custom tune.I’ve swapped from these Shorty style stock filters to the longer filters but notice a decrease in oil pressure, I always get the best oil pressure with these shorty (PF48E) filters.I change oil/filter often, never more than 5k on oil changes. It’s got 142k miles and runs like new, for under $4 shipped, I am happy with the product. My go to filter 🤙

Ordered PF48E and received PF48
PF48 is a little smaller than the PF48E and is also less expensive. I received a PF48 filter in a PF48 box p/n 19433934 with a sticker on that box labeling it PF48E. If I wanted the PF48 I would have purchased a PF48 for 1$ cheaper. Next time I'll purchase this part from my local autoparts store. The following is how Bing Copilot AI compares both filtersDifferences:Bypass Valve: The PF48E has a bypass valve, which opens when the filter becomes clogged, allowing oil to keep flowing to the engine and preventing damage. The PF48 does not have this feature.Size and Weight: The PF48E is taller and somewhat lighter due to its plastic structure. It also has plastic anchor points on the inside, while the PF48 has full metal ones.Center Tube: The most significant difference is the center tube design. In summary, both filters are high-quality options, but the PF48E may be better suited for shorter oil change intervals, while the PF48 can handle longer intervals. Always choose the filter that matches your vehicle’s specifications and maintenance requirements!

Keep some on hand,
This is the standard for my vehicle, I like to keep two or three "in stock" just because I dont like to run to the store and hunt them. Convenience

Quality Filter
Consume reports has rated AC filters as some of the best filters available. That's good enough for me and my 18 year old truck i purchased new. Still running great with 140,000 miles on it.

This is not the "best" version of this filter but...
That is why it is cheap and it does fit. From a car forum - "The original PF48 was replaced by the PF48E ... The problem is that the PF48 was a good filter with metal parts inside ... The new replacement PF48E is a poor quality filter with cheap plastic parts inside." I don't know how this compares to aftermarket (non AC) brands....
