LEGOStar Wars 2019 Advent Calendar 75245 Holiday Gift Set Building Kit with Star Wars Minifigure Characters (280 Pieces)

I bought this for a gift for my daughters adult (23 year old) boyfriend, since he loves Star Wars, he was so excited upon receiving it and while it's only day 2 into the advent, he is loving opening the doors/packages everyday, today he got a space ship. My 4 grand kids look forward to receiving this on Thanksgiving night, all wrapped up with a tag saying "Open Dec. 1st". They are all Star Wars fans and love opening the doors each day and finding a new Lego character to put together. Been gifting this to them for many years. The panel on the box creates a scene to place all the characters.

I was shocked to find this as I had no idea these Lego Advent sets existed. It comes in a box with 24 numbered doors that open as an advent calendar. They are in little cellophane bags so you can take them out and use in your own too. I just cut out the pictures that go with them so my son has an idea what he is building. They are small enough that they fit in the wood calendar we have and I can even fit a little goodie in with it. My son is really enjoying these and looks forward to a new one everyday. I would recommend these as little started sets for kids who are new to Legos, even if it has nothing to do with Christmas.

My son is 14 so I figured this would be to little kid for him. I bought is expecting him to not really be in to is as he no longer plays with legos. He loved it and I think because they are small and can be assembled fast he got into it during the holidays. My big kid aka husband liked it too so I will buy again.

I bought this set to use as gifts in a handmade advent calendar for my 3-year-old grandson who is a lego maniac and star wars fan. The drawers in my calendar are 2x2x2” and the toys fit perfectly in each drawer with room to spare for a candy. Each day’s project is bagged separately and there is a picture of the completed project on the calendar flap. I cut them out and taped them to each bag and arranged them in the calendar in the order I liked best. Santa is last in the box, but I moved him up and also moved around the figures and other pieces in a more logical—to my mind anyway—order. Super happy with this for the price. Pretty sure the grandson will love it, too.

My grandson is very happy opening a door each day and completing the constructions but we find it frustrating that the box does not picture all the pieces after they are completed and he is not sure what they are suppose to be. most seem to be various vehicles or weapons. The character pieces are great. I purchased this set and an older one. Both seem to be a bit boring. yes there are plenty of pieces but most just the usual very tiny single piece. Pretty high prices for what you get. Guess that is what you have to pay for Star Wars. We love the concept of the calendar but I may go back to the city theme next year. They seem much more fun.

My son loved each of the daily builds leading up to Christmas. A must for any LEGO Star Wars fan. Lots of fun builds in this set. A great gift that keeps giving thru the month.
