Perfect introduction to technic.
My 10 year old wanted to get into technic so we started with this one. He has a lot of fun with it and it took him a few days to complete the build.

Excellent for someone with mechanical interests
I got this kit for my 11-year old son to put together while I was away from him for a week. He loved it. It has lots of different mechanisms, and is a terrific Lego kit for someone who's into that sort of thing.

More challenging than the Architecture series!
The media could not be loaded. My son found it very interesting and challenging to build than the architecture series of Dubai we recently bought. It has a lot of gears and intricate little pieces which are fascinating to see how it was put together. We did a few live streams about the whole building process — about 5 hours! It is very educational for kids. IMO, LEGO Technic series is the best of all!

Really fun build.
I collect technic, and I really enjoyed this set. Went together easy enough, although is does get dicey near the end if you have big hands. Folds up for storage, or can be posed for display. Love it!

Good crane for new lego builders.
A fun set to build. Even tho not motorized, still larger than I thought it would be. The color is great. Price not bad compared to prices.

Great challenge for our grandson
Our 11 year old grandson wanted a challenging lego set for Christmas so I foundI would suggest using someone else to change the seals if the person you have used is not getting the job done right. this and hoped he would like it and he got just what he wanted. He said it took him 7 straight hours and he did it all by himself. So proud of him and we are looking forward to his next great challenging set for his next gift.

Challenging but rewarding
I purchased this for a seasoned young builder who is careful, which is a MUST for a complex kit with such a large number of pieces. He completed it successfully over a weekend and found the design to be intricate and interesting. It provides a good building challenge and has good play value. Kudos to the folks at Lego.
