It stinks, also all it's warnings kind of scares me, but it got all the gum out of my apartment that I discovered from the last tenant. Normally the ice trick works, but this actually gets every tiny bit out and that is a relief. I used it all, that's how much gum I discovered.

Yes, this is expensive as sin when you look at the price tag - kind of makes it like some sort of liquid gold - but with only a finite drop and following the instructions to a T (yes, as odd as the spoon seems to be as the tool of choice, use it!) the gum came right off of my car seat and even my keen eyes cannot figure out where it had once been marred with the sticky pink gum!I'd pay twice this price tag to have something work so efficiently!

This product does not get old gum residue off of school bus floors. I might work if it is used as soon as the gum is found but I only scrape the gum off the floor of the bus at the end of the school year and by then it is dry and hardened on, not to mention squashed and flattened and dirty from shoes. I scrape it off with a putty knife and need a product to remove the left over residue. This is not the product that works in this situation. Carburator cleaner works but must be scrubbed quite a lot and evaporates to quickly, very smelly and not good for my health.

I had a large glop of gum stuck all over the inside of a nice navy blue Columbia jacket. I tried vinegar. I tried acetone. I tried another product purchased on Amazon that was supposed to freeze the gum so you could chip it off. Nothing worked. They all just spread the gum around, plus, in the case of the last one, almost froze my fingers off. But with a squirt of this stuff, I was able to wipe away the gum with a paper towel. 10 minutes of effort and it was all gone.

I had a very expensive "Smart" wool/nylon garment that got gum embedded in it. (Sent it through the wash/dryer with a pack of gum....aaargh!) It was basically ruined, so I figured I had nothing to lose by trying this product. It worked great. Using rubber gloves, and an old credit card, I scraped the gum out of the fabric after squirting on the remover. The main gum-globs scraped away, and then the remaining stains could be treated with normal laundry stain treatment. Garment was good as new!!! No discoloration or gum residue!
