Well, I was trying to be safe in ordering one with a long handle to use in a new brick oven; as it turns out, it did not need to be nearly this long, so I ended up "customizing" it. This is a very good tool, and I use it all the time. The wire brush is as sturdy as any I have had, and the scraping tool works well to clean out the ash. It comes in an unfinished wood, which when left outdoors, does tend to discolor somewhat, so I recommend finding some place to protect it from the elements. Ideally, I think you could finish out the portion of the handle that is away from heat, and leave the business end natural. As far as dislikes; the handle has a tendency to work loose from the threads, so you have to check tightness constantly. Also, the wire brush would be more ideal for the deck of a pizza oven if it had finer, more closely spaced bristles. All things considered, this is a great tool for the money.

Use it every time we use our pizza oven which was all summer and fall! Great tool!!

Stop wasting your money of cheap Brushes. This thing is a tank and it works. Use it clean my brick ovens in a pizza shop. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Very good product for taking adhes from oven.

With their brand name of ‘American Metalcraft’ and the seller claiming 70 years of service, one might think (hope) the brush was made in the USA. Nope. Made in Taiwan on the box. 2 stars for deception.
