Can someone suggest the best controller to buy that is compatible with this kit? It's for a dry vivarium.

As this unit only supplies light, all you need is a device to act as a timer. For example 12 hours on, 12 hours off. So any normal plug in timer socket will work, if you are using a heat source than it may be easier for you to get a combined Thermostat and timer to control everything. It very much depends on your budget, I personally use the HabiStat Digital Dimming Thermostat Day/Night Timer, 600 Watt. But this is at the top end of the price range, although it does everything!

Is this lighting set adequate for a year old corn snake and are replacement bulbs easy to acquire

Yes these are suitable for corn snakes and replacement bulbs are easy to find in most reptile stores and online. Replace around every 6-8 months
