ESSENCE Air & Gamefowl Grain-Free Canned Cat Food 5.5 oz (Case of 24)

I admit I was worried by some of the other reviews citing mangled and moldy cans, but I had learned that my cats liked this flavor and it is not sold anywhere near me. It is a high calorie food that is relatively low in phosphorus, so is a great choice for my senior CKD cats. I wanted to get more of it, so I took a chance and ordered from this seller. The food was delivered in a timely manner and all the cans I've opened so far have been in good condition. Just popping by to leave a positive review since I know others might on the fence like I was after some of the other reviews.

Essence is an excellent very high protein food, designed specifically for a feline diet--it never contains grains, and the protein is made from meat rather than plants. I have found improvement in muscle tone, weight, energy, skin and fur, especially in allergic and older cats who require high protein to remain healthy and strong-- and all of them love it--16 so far. It always smells fresh, and is excellent for all ages, including kittens who need a nutrient-packed diet. I don't know what happened with the cans in the review above, but mine have always been undamaged, well within date, and excellent quality product. I purchase both in-store and online. I recommend it for everyone!

GREAT quality. Poor price. So so pate texture. I have to mix these with Sip kitty milk and syringe feed my girl. Nulo is smooth. This brand sometimes get the syringe clogged with small bits of bone. Sucks when your mid feed and then you put on a dead stop. If she didn't need such high quality food or syringe feeding I'm sure the consistency would be just fine. However it's troublesome for me and makes me just want to use Nulo brand instead. For this reason and the price.

My cats like the food but upon delivery many of the cans were bent up! This is very dangerous so many of the cans in the case were unusable. Given the cost, this should not have been the case.

These cans are damaged and dried up like other reviewers noted. There is always some kind of mold and nasty black dust on top of the cans. It’s quite disgusting for the price. This seller is not reliable as quality of product is very bad every time

Seemed like a good product with good ingredients except my cat wouldn’t touch it! I wish they had a return policy since the food’s so expensive.
