Q: I like to squeeze lemon juice into my water, would I still be able to do that with this product or would it ruin the filter?

Hello Karen, Thanks for the question and happy to help. We would suggest that you filter the water first. After the recommended wait time for the filter to do its work, please remove the filter pouch from the water bottle then you may add the fruit juice of your choice. We only recommend that the filter materials inside the pouch be in contact with pure water to maintain its optimal filter performance Hope this helps! While our filters COULD filter hot water, it is not recommended because hot water can damage the filter materials and may cause your filter life to be much much shorter.
