Will this cut 16 gauge 409-grade stainless steel pipe?
How "bad" is this at cutting wood? I only use occasionally and I'd prefer to use the same blade for Al and wood and not have to change it out.
Want to use with makita lc1230 (1300rpm metal-cutting saw) to go through 4" thick alum round bar (solid, not tube). doable? saw can accomodate depth.
Will this cut 1/8 to 1/4 inch flat stock metal?

Cuts Like Buttaaaaa!
I bought this blade for my DEWALT DW713 10-Inch Compound Miter Saw. I'm working on a project that uses extruded aluminum (20x60mm). I couldn't find the exact length that I needed so I had to cut a larger piece down to size. While researching options for cutting aluminum, I found this to be the most inexpensive option (as much as I would love to buy another power tool!).After installation, I put a few drops of olive oil on the center of the blade-- wasn't sure how hot it would get and didn't have proper lube. It ended up working out just fine. I made sure to clamp my piece to the saw, wore eye protection, and a coat with long sleeves (I read that it's possible to get burned with the chips). I took the cut slow and it went through in no time. The cut is very smooth and clean without any burring. The metal wasn't even very warm when finished. So glad I didn't fork out a hundreds of dollars for a multi-purpose miter saw.Tip: Be sure to check your miter saw's motor rating. This blade is rated for 7000 RPM. The 100 Tooth blade from Freud is rated for 8000 RPM.

Amazing Difference
Added this to my Dewalt Chop Saw blade collection to cut aluminum. I was having trouble using high tooth count wood blades. This is amazing. I am cutting 80/20 extrusion (3000 grade i think) and large aluminum tubes and extrusions (6061 @ 4" OD). This blade rips through them.Pictures are wood blade and then aluminum blade. Aluminum blade did not deform the material at all, and barely left any edge burrs. I didn't know that was possible.Careful if you are moving from a wood blade though. As other reviews have commented, this blade cuts like butter, so if you are used to feeling some resistance, this blade will glide right through the aluminum.

Great Blade for Cutting Aluminum
I used this blade to cut aluminum frames that were 1 inch wide by 7/16 inch deep in various lengths. The frames were used to make solar screens that reduce the amount of heat that radiates into the house created by the window glass , thereby, reducing the cost of cooling the rooms affected. The blade made a very smooth, clean mitered cut. I could have used a hacksaw and miter box, but I had 40 cuts to make, and doing it by hand was going to take more time and effort than necessary. This was my first time making solar screens, and using this blade assisted me in doing a really good job. I finished screens for 10 windows in a day. They are up and secured; they look professionally made and really do reduce substantially the transfer of radiated heat into the rooms. Thanks Freud for making a excellent blade.

Hot knife through butter
I bought this blade to use in my Bosch Chop/Mitre saw. The plan was to rip through some 8020 aluminum extrusion for various projects. With a 1/2 second spritz of oil, this blade runs through the aluminum like a hot knife through butter! It is absolutely amazing. I can only speak to the aluminum cutting qualities, and I will vouch for them all day long.

Cuts aluminum like butter!
Slices through aluminum beautifully and also makes no more noise than cutting wood. Leaves a nice smooth edge and also cuts lmaking small aluminum dust and not big chunks which leave rough edges.

Outstanding blade for Aluminum
I needed a new blade for my Skilsaw cold cut metal chop saw (lower RPM than your typical miter saw). I cut a lot of aluminum extrusion and this blade with its thin kerf works great. I have much more expensive blades but this one work best so far. In fact after a day of cutting, I liked it so much I'm ordering another one to keep as a spare. I haven't had to use any wax or other lube. It doesn't clog up with chips. And it produces super clean cuts.
