So far a big success!!
We are a family of five, and our three boys are entering their teen years. We needed to replace our very small antique kitchenette table and chairs so that we could all enjoy dinner together without fighting over arm space. We live in an old farmhouse with a small, eat-in, 1950s style kitchen and couldn’t go too big or too modern.I found some retro-style chairs on Amazon and decided to search for a diner-style table to match them. My search turned up this table, and I started reading reviews.I was a little daunted by the photos and reviews mentioning that this table often arrived very damaged in the shipping process. I was also concerned that, based on several reviews, it would contain the incorrect pieces and parts needed for assembly. The shipping process was different than most orders I’ve placed via Amazon, because this seller uses a third party for shipping. Multiple companies were involved in delivery coordination, and it wasn’t what I was used to from any other Amazon orders I’ve placed.I did need to be physically at home at the time of delivery, and the worlds largest delivery truck showed up in my driveway just a few minutes into my 4-hour window, which was great. The table was packaged very securely and was completely intact when I opened the box. I would give packaging 5/5 stars if it weren’t for the heavy wood staples being driven directly into the bottom of the table itself. The staples and nylon rope did a great job of securing the legs from sliding, but they left holes (and half a staple leg... and some of my blood) in the finish of table. Granted it’s underneath and isn’t visible, but still I thought it could’ve been avoided. As far as assembly goes... turns out I was in the bottom 50% to begin with. I followed the instructions just as they were laid out, and none of the holes were lining up to secure the middle piece to the legs. Then I remembered a few reviews mentioning that specific “A” and “B” legs need to be on the correct ends of the table. So I swapped A and B ends and the holes lined up perfectly! I actually feel pretty dumb for not noticing this in the very beginning, because it’s fairly obvious if you look at the holes (especially in pairs). The table itself isn’t labeled with “ends”, neither are the legs, so if assembly is not working out for you, just swap the legs around to the other end of the table and you’ll feel dumb like me but it will fit just right! After the table was together, the only other hiccup was that I couldn’t fit it through my small, 110-year-old farmhouse doorway. So I had to take the bottom on part (legs) off to get it through. It was super easy to remove in one piece, as an allen wrench (provided) was the only tool needed for assembly.Worth mentioning — several of the screws that hold the table top to the chrome siding were very loose/ totally off, so I grabbed my power drill and drove them back in before I started on the legs, etc.So far this table is great! I’m hoping it will be durable and resist stains (???), but tbh if I had a piece of glass that aligned perfectly with the table top, I would feel way better. I will never have that though. Regardless, we have just enough space for all of us to sit comfortably and have dinner together as a family, so my mission has been accomplished! And we’ve already received lots of compliments on the setup (especially from my parents who were born in the early 50s... lol). So far, I’m very pleased with my purchase!

Very well designed, Very strong 50's character (more than I expected)
I have only had this in kitchen for a week, but I notice the difference compared to other tables I have sat at/owned. This would have been great when my kids were table height & running around like tornadoes. I worried they would run into corners with old table or tip over glass table. We have extreme height differences in our house & the design accommodates both well.+ 6' + husband does not hit his knees+ No more getting jabbed by sharp corners, thus much easier to get in/out+ dual leg base helps prevent tipping over, (but you are not trapped by typical 4-corner legs)+ Beautiful smooth table top+ Love the shape!+ Easy to assembleMy only problem is this table has a Very strong character presence as it is correctly advertised - 50's retroMy new home was built with a contemporary look and I am still trying to figure out how to blend Elvis Presley style into todays.I Love, Love, Love this table, but I am stumped how further to decorate the kitchen since I was not aiming for a complete 50's look and again this table's character is a Strong presence in the kitchen. I can usually combine different styles, but this is a challenge.I really liked the Design/shape/size/leg placement when I bought.I paired it with a nice bench seat that has brushed metal legs. I recommend pairing with other chrome chairs as of course pictured. This is my second piece of Coaster furniture and it it great. I hope they can design this again with a different style.I am surprised it survived the delivery with the piece meal packaging.Again, still recommend & Love it!

Possible short comings
Unit was delivered quickly. The white top has 2 paint defects.3 screws holding the metal edge were stripped out and loose in the box.The legs were mis labeled making assembly tricky. The metal edging was not centered on the top with gaps of 5 mm in one area and 15 mm in another.I worked around the problems but be aware before purching.

Quality and retro authentic
I cannot believe what a great price for such a quality table. And best of all this product is not made in China. It is made in Taiwan known for their high-quality manufacturing processes.

Some reviews had me thinking but I must be lucky
I got this table today and love it it is what I call a table. I must say it is nice well built and heavy. I found it easy to put together once I gave the book a look over. Yes the user manual sucks. But the table is just so nice looking once it is done.A few tips because the book it came with is a total joke. The legs have stickers on the top of them A and B then you have the cross bar. This had me saying wtf is this.Ok take the legs put on feet end caps and then put them AB AB. This is the tip if you were to go by the manual you would think aa bb but well not work. On the legs the screw holes one side is dented in other is flush. Dent in side out this means the screw will be counter sunk. You done with that now the top.You can put it on upside down then flip table. But if you do not have the room 2 people can put top on frame and then lay on floor and put in the 4 screws well other moves top for you to line up holes. All in all not hard to do took me about half a hour. You well need no tools it comes with everything you need, Now I can say I got a table like we had when I was little. Just wish it had leafs. So it would not be as long but hay you can not have it all in one shot.

We like the look but …..
We searched locally for an authentic affordable retro dinette set for our older home but prices were crazy high so we decided to buy this instead . It was easy enough to put together however its parts are cheaply made . Ours arrived with loose screws on the bottom of the box that had popped out from the pre attached chrome piece that circles the tabletop . I was able to drill new holes to reattach it as there weren’t any factory holes down one side . They defo lack quality control at the factory .
