2 screw holes didn’t match up with my hood—1999 Toyota 4runner.

I bought this for my '98 4-Runner. This shield fits better than the one that was initially on the vehicle when I got it (used). The other one that was on the vehicle interfered with the hood closing, that's not the case here. It was easy to install and the hood opens and closes easily now. I'm not one to "dolly up" my vehicles so I bought this for a purpose. I do appreciate the fact that this helps fend off rock chips and bugs from the front of the vehicle. That's the whole reason I purchased it. It also doesn't bounce when I'm driving down the road like the other one did. Plus it looks nice.

It looks really good once installed. Very easy to install and had no problem whatsoever. Only downside is that I received mine with a couple of deep scratches but not noticeable from a distance which really doesn’t bug me but could definitely be better. For the price, it’s actually pretty good and gives your 3rd gen a great look.

Looks great! The AVS logo can be removed easily by applying water. You will need better push pins to secure it to hood… the pins included look little and brittle. You can find a variety pack automotive push pins at harbor freight or anywhere. Recommend this bug deflector to add a nice look to the 2001 Toyota 4Runner.

I was a little iffy on buying it because there wasn't any pictures, but I pulled the trigger and I love it. It's been 4 months now, and it has been holding up well and gives the front a better look as well as keeps my hood and windshield clean of bugs and rock chips. Super quick to install(less than 15 min.) feels quality made and I highly recommend this one over the others because it overlaps the hood.

Fit my 1999 4Runner well. Went right on. Recommend you keep any hardware that you may have from the older one or a damaged one. The hardware that came with this deflector wasn't great. I think they were plastic to tell you the truth. Been on the 99 4Runner for a few months now, and it looks great and works well.

-------------perfect fit for my 99 4-runner....took me 1 min to install... my other one was broken as something hit it and price broke off....that bug shield probably saved me 1000.00 worth of damaged so the 50.00 spent well worth it....And it looks great!!
