Planetary Herbals Ashwagandha, Full Spectrum 570 mg Rejuvenating Tonifier - 60 Tablets

I try to avoid pharmaceuticals and seek out natural alternatives whenever possible. Without going into detail, this year handed me a few traumatic events and I started looking for something natural to help me cope, calm down, keep a lid on my anxiety, keep my blood pressure from climbing, avoid depression, get some sleep. I found a reference online to ashwagandha aka winter cherry, highly prized in Ayurvedic herbalism for centuries, touted as one of the most powerful adaptogens. Adaptogen? I looked it up. To be classified as an adaptogen the herb or substance must be a completely safe and non-toxic botanical; must specifically reduce stress, both mental and physical; it acts as a buffer, reducing the impact that stress has upon the body. So I bought this. I'd read that this particular formulation was a good one, both in the mg provided of ashwagandha and in the quality of the company.I take one pill nightly before bed. I really do believe this has helped me calm down and cope, and I managed a calmer demeanor; the stress didn't add to or create body problems. To help me further, I take D, B's, and Rescue Remedy.These Ashwagandha (winter cherry) tablets each have 500 mg of the root; 70 mg of the root extract; and 59 mg of calcium; serving size is 1 tablet (but it does say that you can take 1 tablet twice daily with meals). The tablets are 3/4" long, 1/4" wide, and under 1/4" thick; they are very easily swallowed and go down easily. I have not had one "hang up" yet.I hope I've come up with enough information for you. I can't think of anything else to say about it. Bottom line for me is that it has helped me.

When I purchased this brand I took it because it was 570 mg and I take a pill in half so I can take 1000 mg a day. It is excellent! At one time I bought another brand and even though the claims were higher I did not notice the same results… Somehow this particular brand stands out thank you guys!
