What an improvement
Just moved into new home and had what seemed like hundreds of moving cartons to unpack. All I had were the old metal utility knives and they were in a box. A nice neighbor lent me his and what a difference, so I ordered one too - it's so easy to use. The blades are all attached and can be broken off when they aren't sharp anymore. But after opening all those 'hundreds' of cartons, I'm still on the original one. The blade retracts very easily too. Very handy little tool.

Wonderful utility knife!
This is a great utility knife. Very easy to use, blade is sharp and cuts heavy cardboard easily. It locks automatically and feels very comfortable in my hand.

The slider is a little different but works great - the reason I'm giving it four stars is that it does not have a way to break off a dull end - you have to use a set of pliers but other than that, the slide locks great, and the unit works and feels great - I like the plastic type because the type that has a metal type holder can dull the blade when you slide the blade in and out when it rubs on the metal part

sturdy, silent action
about 1/16 inch thicker than an ordinary cutter, but nicer solid feel no clicking sound slightly harder to move the blade in and out
