Q: Would this work with a 3s lifep04 battery pack

No, Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4/LFP) cells have a lower operating voltage than Lithium Ion. For 12V on LFP you'd normally use 4S (4 x 3V batteries in series) rather than 3S (3 x 4V batteris in series) with Li-Ion. LFP 4S is a better match to normal lead acid batteries for voltage than Li-ion 3S and is easier to use with older equipment because of that - although not usually recommended.
