ZAGG Slimbook Go - Ultrathin Case, Hinged with Detachable Bluetooth Keyboard - Made for 2019 Apple iPad Pro 12.9" - Black

This iPad case is awesome! I like the sturdiness and especially how it has an adjustable cradle hinge that holds my iPad securely in place at whatever viewing angle I set it at. The detachable keyboard has laptop like keys that are backlit. There is a built-in holder at the bottom for an iPad pencil. Everyone who sees this loves it and asks where I purchased it so they can order one.

This arrived and I was so looking forward to receiving it. Remarks as follows:Pros:1) Great looking item2) Nice materials used3) Great battery life4) Backlit keyboard5) Detachable keyboard - detaches without warning! Be VERY careful!Cons:1) Kick Stand continually collapses and will not maintain angle2) Backlit keyboard shines light right into your eyes from keyboard3) Keyboard separated from iPad and dropped out4) IMPOSSIBLE to use on your lap.5) Take motion sickness tablets as the screen bounces around while typing!Well intended, but poorly executed.Oh, well back to may apple folio keyboard with NO backlight! Shame!

Good product from a good company

Like everything so far working with my iPad Pro 2018. Just as advertised. Keyboard has better feel and touch compared to my last Zagg for an iPad Air 2. Like the support brace that you can put at any angle. Also like the detachable keyboard. Bought this ZAGG case based on the ruggedness and utility of my last one. No complaints, they make a good product that I recommend.

Multiple issues plague this case. The main one being tendency for the kickstand to crack and break. After just 3 weeks of using this on a daily basis, mine decided to crack and the kickstand no longer works. I’ve already had to get a replacement. Another issue is the battery life. When the case is closed, it doesn’t automatically turn off. You’re expected to manually turn it on and off with a button, and if you don’t, the battery will only last a few days. I also wish this case had some sort of connector to keep it closed when it is folded up. It does not have a magnetic closing mechanism, and it also doesn’t have a string to keep it closed with. This means that sometimes the case will just flop open if you aren’t holding it closed with your hands.The keyboard aspect of the case, however, is very good. The keyboard itself is nice and big and it feels comfortable typing on, especially with the extra space on the bottom. I have big hands, and small keyboard are always a concern for me, but this keyboard is fine. The Bluetooth also connected well, and there is no lag when using the keyboard. I like the fact that this keyboard has a backlight, but I wish it was brighter.Overall, if ZAGG made a few small changes with this (increasing durability, adding magnet, increasing backlight brightness), it has a potential of being a very good product. But with how it is now, it is pretty disappointing and will not last you that long.

I purchased because I owned the same product for my 11" iPad Pro which I loved. Works very well with the 12.9" model in all respects but the rear stand has lost it ability to independently stand the iPad Pro upright. The larger iPad Pro is probably too big/heavy for the retractable stand and it wore down pretty quickly. I still kind of like it but it will give me pause for future purchases.I've updated based on their customer service. I reached out to Zagg and they immediately arranged for a replacement which arrived very quickly. Its a real confidence builder when a company stands by its product this quickly.

I bought this keyboard-case last April, and have been pretty happy with it until, inevitably, I dropped it. To its credit, the case did its job and protected my 12.9" iPad Pro perfectly. Not a scratch on the iPad. The case, however, took a serious bullet. The drop landed on the case's lower-right corner, which broke the hinge mechanism, which means that now the only position at which it will hold the iPad upright is straight up. Forget about using any angles, it's straight or flat on its back; nothing in-between. Somehow, the F-key on the keyboard also came loose. Not off, just loose. So it kind of flops around now and I have to press it about three times, repositioning my finger slightly on each press, in order to get it to register. So while I'm happy that the case did its job and protected my precious iPad, I'm not so happy that it could only take one fall before becoming a malfunctioning wreck. Previous Zagg cases I've had on previous iPads have been able to take multiple falls and survive multiple years before needing to be replaced. And the keyboards from those cases still work great, even though I've retired the cases and the iPads (I use the keyboards back-ups and for other devices). I have a very active commute every morning from NJ to Manhattan, car-to-bus-to-walking-and-often-subways. Lots of stairs, lots of concrete. I need a case that can take a hit—unfortunately, this one's not it. Sorry Zagg. I've been a loyal customer for many years, but I won't be buying this model again.

Awesome case!! Slim, portable. Allows you the flexibility to use with keyboard or detach and use it as stand alone tablet with kickstand. Love it!! Also provides you options for your Apple pencil. Offering secure placement. Also giving two thumbs up and a half for delivery!! Originally this was scheduled for a week but was shipped and received in two days with tracking!! Definitely would do business again.
