We have an export business so we ship a lot and our packages weigh anywhere from grams to 150 lbs. This scale is spot on every time and although it does not appear to be heavy duty it has handled all well.We are very happy with the appearance, the remote display (especially for large packages), and the performance.I will recommend this scale to anyone, for the price and applications I really feel we got more than we bargained for.

The scale seems to work very well, though I haven't had it long. I am not using it in a heavy industrial setting, just to weigh myself and my dog a few times a week, and it's been working very well for those tasks. The power adapter that came with it was just a generic plug but it was broken. Since my usage will be light having batteries is a bit more convenient, but still it seems like a little smarter packaging would have solved the issue.

The display got separated after 2 months of very light use. The cable slipped out of the display unit and it looks like the 4 wires were broken inside the display unit. Will try to return this faulty product.Update1: It was sold by Amazon.com and I tried to return it, but it shows that the return window is closed. Can it be that there is no warranty even for this obvious manufacturing defect?Update2: Ended up repairing it to avoid the hassle of questionable warranty. Attached is a picture showing how to solder the 4 wires inside the display unit. If you decide to buy this product, make sure that you test it within the first 30 days: pull the display unit away and see if the cord gets separated easily from the display unit.

This scale was built nicely with a solid stainless steel platform and a bright display however that is where the quality ends. When weighing several items I started to notice that the weights given didn't seem right. I pulled out my old scale and found that the weights were off by as much as 7 lbs on a 30 lb box. I also noticed that I would zero out the scale before weighing, would then put the box on to get the weight, and then when I removed the box the scale would not go back to zero. Sometime it would read 5 lbs, sometimes it would read -8 lbs. The tare weight would be a random number. That made the scale completely useless as I had no idea what my items actually weighed.I can't recommend this scale to anyone who is using it for shipping purposes. It looks nice but it can't weigh things and in the end, isn't that the purpose of a scale? Needless to say it is going back.

A good value for the money. Having the display head loose is a bit of a hassle but makes storing in a box on the shelf handy.The background card in the display head was loose when in arrived but I was able to take the head apart and put it back in place.U-Line's price for something comparable was a lot more.

We recently started to receive more online orders. This caused a need for a more organized (professional) shipping situation. We designated one room and decided a layout and put it all together. Our old scale was smaller and almost impossible to read with a big box on it. The reason we picked this scale was the affordable price and detachable display. Once receiving the scale I wa amazed at the quality and sturdiness considering how inexpensive it was. Once it was in place I truly understood how much more convenient it would make my package preparation. With the brolliant blue LED back light i can see the display from across the room. This makes it easier to put the weight into the computer to print the labels. I now can make my packages complete for drop off at the post office in half the time.
