Otovent Adult Autoinflation Device - Treatment for Glue Ear Or Otitis Media with Effusion

This product worked wonders for me and I would 100% recommend. I caught a flight home whilst I was slightly congested and my ears became fully blocked. I had suffered with blocked ears for a week and visited the Doctor Who prescribed me antibiotics however these did not help and I was becoming very restless and anxious in trying to find a way to rectify this I was upset and frustrated as I couldn’t hear a thing and thought this was something I would have to live with. I bought this product as I had nothing else to lose. I was sure it wouldn’t work. However after the first go my ears popped and I was able to hear again I was so relieved anyone who is suffering from middle ear or fluid past the eardrum I would definitely recommend this product. My ears aren’t 100% but they’ve gone from 15% to now 85%. The package tells you to use this product for three weeks which I will continue to do so and will bring it with me when I go on any future travels. Highly recommend.

Value for money:Works exactly as intended

After using this for about a day my right ear has been completely fixed and I can hear much better. Although I did also do a combination of exercises to also drain out the Eustachian tube so that may also have a role. I didn't get an instant pop in my ears when using this but I did slowly feel the effects of it and eventually fully restored my hearing. Reading other reviews though, this may not work for everyone so the experience can vary but it did work fine for me.

A lot of cash for a tiny plastic snout and ten balloons, but this does offer relief short-term if you suffer from blocked eustachian tubes as I do. I took a note from a hospital nurse and found it's more effective if you hold some water in your mouth and (once you've inflated the balloon in the way instructed), swallow the water down a few times.The little balloons are nothing special - so once this lot have lost their resistance I'll look for a similar-sized normal small balloon to replace them.

I have suffered from hearing issues for many years. Having what felt like reduced hearing for at least the last decade. As a kid I had grommets put in my ears which resolved the problem but only whilst they stayed in my ear, within a few years my hearing seemed to be deteriorating again.Over the years I’ve tried multiple times to get to the bottom of my hearing issues with various doctor visits and specialist ENT reviews. The latest specialist suggested I had a blocked inner ear, with fluid in the inner ear and a blocked Eustachian tube which meant the fluid couldn’t drain and my ear had negative pressure. They suggested I buy an “AirPopper” but at £100 I was hesitant. Then I came across this product.I cannot over state how much this has worked. Even after only the first use my hearing had suddenly unblocked and everything seemed SO LOUD. I cannot believe this one little device has fixed years and years of frustration over straining to hear.It was a little difficult when using it for the first time. It felt like I would never be able to inflate the balloon with my nose. But careful, slow, focused blowing through the nostril and it happened! Suddenly I felt the ear unblocking and I could hear. There was no discomfort, it just takes a bit of careful blowing the first time. Since then it has been much easier.I cannot recommend this product enough if you have been diagnosed with a blocked eustachian tube and negative pressure in the inner ear with a build up of fluid.

This actually works and I’m surprised. Very easy to use and what a bargain

I purchased two boxes of the Otovent Adult Autoinflation Device hoping to find relief for what I suspected was glue ear or otitis media with effusion. Unfortunately, after consistent use of both boxes, I personally experienced no discernible effect or improvement in my condition. My symptoms remained unchanged, and I didn't feel any of the pressure equalisation or relief that others have reported.While it didn't work for me, it's important to note that medical devices can have varying results depending on the individual and the specific nature of their condition. Given the positive reviews from some users, it's possible that this device might be beneficial for others with different circumstances or degrees of their ear issues. However, based purely on my own experience, I cannot recommend it as an effective treatment for my situation. If you're considering it, perhaps consult with a healthcare professional to see if it's suitable for your specific needs.

Hated using these. Quite easy to blow up, once you read the instructions. Takes a bit of effort to try and swallow whilst balloon deflates so good job there are loads of them! Good value for money but glad I only had to use for a weeks.
