Heavy duty table saw for job site
I had my last one for almost 18 years. The motor finally went. I thought it was gone. I went to the big box store and the version they sell is cheaper, not made as rugged. This one is for any real Contractor.

Don’t be afraid
Don’t make a mistake of not buying this for you do it yourselfers. After months of hesitation I made the decision and purchased the DWE 7491X. I was pleasantly surprised of the weight and quality of the saw. I’m able to fold and stow the saw under my work bench. I’m sure some people may have some problems with damaged parts as I did, but with a phone call to the manufacturer it was rectified in short order.

DEWALT DWE7491X - Great table saw (1st saw for me)
I love using this table saw although I'm a rookie as this is my first table saw. I've used it to make a bench and am now looking to start on overhead cabinets so this saw will be used for a while before, you know, it becomes another clothing rack like the work out equipment. . . .I'm very satisfied with this saw and am now looking to add to it (dado, new fence, etc.)

Great job site saw
Just unboxed, assembled and used this saw this morning. Very happy so far. It replaces my almighty DW744 that finally expired. Ripped up a couple of sheets of 3/4 birch and she handled it without issue. Very good setup out of the box except for the riving knife and may God bless you if you need to adjust it, took me an hour and a half. Happy with the scissor stand but not so much with the fact that the saw needs to be bolted down now. Will replace the nylocks for the bolts with wing nuts. need to figure out storage for blades but other than that I'm very impressed!

The overlord of table saws.
If you know you know. Spendy but worth every dime.

Serious Saw
Great saw. Plenty of power and lots of features. Adjustable rip fence is a very flexible design and makes for quick work. Great for job sites or serious DIY'ers.

Portable
Dislike having to unbolt the saw from the frame. The older version that I had the saw just fit into notches on the frame and worked great.

Disappointed.
First major disappointment was that one of the brackets on the underside of the deck wasn’t attached at all, it was obvious that it had never received the screws.Next the ruler sticker isn’t straight, it follows the deck edge, then makes a sharp turn in the last five inches. It arrived with the hardware for the stand loose in the box and was missing at least one washer and a couple nuts. The plastic piece that indicates on the ruler the distance between the fence and the blade is so cheap looking I can’t imagine it surviving the first time it gets bumped by whatever I’m working on.Finally, I’m sure some people will point out “you should always calibrate a new saw before you use it” but with this saw it really isn’t an option not to. The alignment of everything was so far off not only would it have been impossible to cut straight, but the fence was so crooked that anything would have pinched the blade. If you are someone who is looking for “close enough” straight from the factory this isn’t it.
