This is by far the BEST coloring gel I have ever used. The colors are consistant and saturated so you don't need to use a lot of product to get your desired results. In the past I've had trouble achieving depth of color with darker shades like black or burgundy, without adding tons of color gel, (ie: Wilton brand), resulting in a more than noticable change in icing/batter consistancy and taste. But the Americolor gels are so concentrated that it's easy to reach even the darkest shades with just a small amount of gel. I love the larger sized bottles as well, making it easier to stock up on more heavily used colors. I highly reccommend this food color gel for both novice and serious bakers alike. Great product!

Edit: Updating to add that I was able to contact Americolor by phone and they've been wonderful, so I changed my rating to reflect that. Leaving the original below, as a caution to anyone buying this through Amazon. In future I'll be purchasing through Americolor directly.Original: Product arrived with zero damage to the outside of the box, seal intact; however, internally the safety seal under the cap of the violet dye had ruptured and leaked onto the box and several other bottles. Due to the ruptured seal the violet isn't safe to use due to potential for contamination. Amazon won't allow return or replacement since it's a food product, and Americolor's website is terrible. I've tried 4 times to report order damage via their site, with every attempt resulting in an error (after it sits and spins forever). All I'd like is a replacement of the one bottle of violet, especially since these aren't cheap.

I really like AmeriColor gel food coloring - more than the other typical brands (Wilton, McCormick, etc.). The gel helps to make things not get too liquid, and the colors are really deep and rich. A little goes a long way, so a 4.5 ounce bottle will last a very, very long time under normal use. The smaller bottles retail for way more per ounce in stores, so the mid-sized bottle is a great deal in the long term. Highly recommended product!

I love not having to dig out the food coloring from the canister like with Wilton brands! The colors are vibrant, and for the price worth it. Gel food coloring is expensive, so it’s nice to buy decent sized bottles for a good price. Buy it, you won’t regret it. I love these gel colors from Americolor. I was using Wilton but needed a certified peanut free gel color. I wasn't sure of the price at first, but they are lasting forever. The 4oz is a lot of color and I am sure I would spend more on the smaller Wilton colors when you add them all up. Additionally, the color comes out very vibrant. I will order more colors.

Americolor Set is a great deal if you are a professional baker or just starting out. The color come in 4.5 oz squeeze bottles that help you dispense the perfect amount. Because it was a gel, it won't water out or recipe. I've made red velvet cake and the color came out great! This set came with a variety of color from black to brown which is helpful when making cake decoration.Downside is if you don't bake a lot you will be having this for years in your cover board. Because it is a concentrated, a little go a long way. The color can be dark when you're making frosting or icing. The time I made french macaroon the color was quite dark and dull; not bright and brilliant when you think of macaroon. I might look into getting neon color if you want your bake good to pop.

I’ve used all these colors but my pink bottle came out purple instead. It was a horrible mess on my frosting. I had to rewrite purple instead on the bottle Bc it’s nothing close to pink and I’ll be using the pink as a purple rather. Very disappointed in that specific item only. The rest are as colors named and work great. Little goes a long way.
