Q: Will the plug fit into a Beats headphone socket?

Don’t listen to the guy who says this will fit anything. If for example the input is set deep in a phone case it might not work. It needs to have a slimline body in this situation. That is down to the way the cables are manufactured verses the design of the input.

I have no familiarity with Beats products. You may need a 4-pole plug but Beats' website should have the data!

Not at all. I have a high quality headphones and headphone DAC/ Amp that I used with a €100,- AudioQuest Golden Gate cable. That broke on the connection with the Cinch plug. Using the ‘cheap’ Kabeldirect cables now. Hear only a little less attack and dynamic in higher midrange/ treble compared to the ‘high end’ cable and even whilst using it with tube headphone amps there is no outer cable noise at all noticeable in my systems. Hope this helps. My review: great cable for the buck and no worries if that breaks in due time after heavy use due to its price tag.
