ODYSSEY35-PC1400T Automotive and LTV Battery

Big upgrade from the factory battery that comes with the vehicle. It fires up instantly on a sub freezing day after not driving the car for over 2 weeks.This one replaces the same model I purchased in 2017. It lasted 7 years before it needed replacing and performed well up until the last few months before replacing it.I also run this brand in my other vehicle and it has been rock solid. It's a trusted battery brand for me and hasn't let me down.

It may be a little too early to rate this battery since I installed it today. I just replaced my 640 CCA Advanced Auto Autocraft battery with this Oddysey battery. But before I did that, I replaced my stock 110 amp alternator with a 220 amp rebuilt alternator for my mid-level 600 watt audio system. I honestly didn’t know how bad my car was underpowered until I drove it. My aftermarket LED bulbs have fans and I’ve never heard them spin this loud(good thing) which means even my bulbs probably weren’t as bright as they should’ve been. Also my rough idle went away, and I’ve even noticed that my power steering is a little smoother. And my mpg actually went up, after noticing it went down after installing the high output alternator, which caused me to wonder if it was the battery or the rebuilt high output alternator which was causing the rough idle, since I did have the mass airflow sensor and throttle bottle cleaned. You learn new things everyday. I wished the place I got my audio system installed at, would have at least informed me about eventually changing my alternator and battery, but they probably thought they’d sway my decision to install the audio system and be out of a customer. So far so good. Hope I won’t have to replace this battery anytime soon.

This is a very nice battery. I'm so glad that I was able to order it from Amazon when my old battery died. I installed it and my car started up perfectly. There's just one thing. Even though it was a new battery, you can't let your car sit for an extended amount of time. Even with a new battery like this, your car may not start if you let your car sit for an extended period. And being retired, that's what happened to me. So, if you're like me, and let your car sit for days, then get a battery charger/maintainer. They are magnificent, and will keep this beautiful battery always charged to the max. Even if you let your car sit for extended periods. And I would buy this battery again.

I love Odyssey batteries and have used them in the past when replacing bass boat batteries. The weak link in the Subaru is the crap stock batteries they use so I immedialty replaced it with this 35-PC1400T which is a Group 35 size like the stock, a perfect replacement with a lot more power. Very easy install. Highly recommend.

Update: April 2018This car was kept in storage and started once every few months. Low and behold this April the car would not start, and the battery does not hold a charge.The biggest headache is that Amazon is not an authorized Odyssey reseller, so making a warranty claim is almost impossible. I spoke directly with Odyssey battery, and they said I need to find an authorized dealer to verify the battery condition, with the caveat that many brick-and-mortar resellers refuse to verify batteries not purchased directly from them.TLDR: Avoid purchasing this product through Amazon as the 3-4 year warranty basically means nothing.Initial purchase: March 2018Small and compact. Fit into my MR2 and starts without issues, although it's a little too short for the tie-down so you may need a spacer to keep it in place.

Purchased this battery in October of 2020. Battery lasted less than two and a half years and less than 10k miles. Got to the point where I was having to constantly leave it on a trickle charger to make sure I had enough power to make it to my destination and back. Today it left me high and dry and had to call AAA out to jump start my car as my power pack, which has worked on over a dozen cars that I've jumped over the years couldn't even give it enough power to start. Just found out that Odyssey DOES NOT warranty anything purchased from Amazon and that I'm now out $320 for this battery. I've never purchased a battery and had it go under four years, so this is a first for me. Not saying to stay away from Odyssey batteries, but don't expect Odyssey to authorize a warranty claim if you purchase it from here so buyer beware. Amazon should be held responsible for the warranty claim information on the website as there is no mention of it not being honored if you purchase it from here. You have to read the fine print on Odyssey's website to find this out whereas Amazon in the description says, "Limited 3 and 4 year full replacement - not pro rata"

For long term reliability, just pay the price and appreciate the benefit. I have used these for several years and really appreciate the reliability. I have one in a boat that sits idle in storage about five months each year. Used a sophisticated as well as an old school battery tester on one nine years old after sitting idle for five months without a charge and it meets the original rating and is classified as Good by both testers. Never had a failure from any. I find the recent price increase hard to take but decided to stay with the best which sometimes costs more.It was shipped immediately and received in less time than projected. Well packaged and protected for the shipping journey.
