Ive been an Icebreaker fan for years,I wear it as a base layer for work and as a base layer or as smarter casual layering system in normal day to day life and for the outdoors too.From Autumn through to spring I feel underdressed without it I really enjoy that Im wearing natural fibres (sometimes with a little added lycra which was added as an improvement some years ago).I hear some people say that they find it a bit itchy but I don’t.Ive tried some other merino wool brands, looking to spend a but less, but always come back to Icebreaker.Truly great gear that works well.

I've got a 200 rated Icebreaker merino t-shirt that's been a wardrobe staple for years. Love it. Tried this and wasn't expecting the 175 material to feel much thinner but it really does - almost flimsy in comparison.For info I found the sizing a bit off too. Followed the measurement guide properly and ordered a large but it's a bit too big, especially in the body which is rather long and loose.Would have tried a size smaller if the material thinness hadn't sown doubts about it's robustness - though it may well have been fine.I returned it for a refund which is a real shame.
