Great for my 1300 watt solar array!
I purchased this controller to replace a cheaper Chinese controller that constantly ran a cooling fan which over time collected dust inside the housing and was making me nervous. I was skeptical of the purchase but when it arrived I saw right away the build quality was excellent and burly. I've been running it for 2 years now with a 400 amp hour lithium phosphate battery bank & 3000 watt inverter. I use it everyday to power my shop tools and run a medium sized air conditioner. Fairly easy to program but was confusing to dial down the settings to coincide with the BMS on my lithium batteries as over voltage alarms were beeping when the battery bank would get to 100%. However, its been running smooth after some trial and error dialing back of the voltage charge settings that none of the customer support channels could help with. The only negative thing I have to say about it is on a very hot day when outside temps are 110 + degrees the controller will get over heated and automatically dial back the amount of power coming from the panels to keep things safe. So, I've added a small cooling fan to blow up thru the cooling fins just for those heat waves which helps keep it at full charge power. All in all a good well made product after going thru 3 other brands over the past 10 years. Renogy has gotten much better over the years!

Great sized controller: this will be the third replacement
Originally purchased in September 2023, within a month was experiencing issues with the controller connected to Renogy One, 800ah of agm, and 1,000w PV. RMA'd with about 3 weeks of Tech Support. Issue with reporting data within Renogy's "One Portal" occurred within a month. Findings that the replacement Controller was defective. Awaiting the next RMA to be shipped. I have another 60A Rover with a separate set 800W of Renogy Panels and 400ah of agm batteries running well. I understand there will be defects within manufacturing, but to be on my third controller of this model is concerning.

Don't fall for used like new
Great product as long as you don't fall for used like new, someone purchased and swapped it out for a junk one. Sharpie marker all over it and obvious damage to internals as it cycles and has a blank screen, won't replace only refundRenogy 5 stars Amazon -5 stars

This 100A controller is not a toy!
I've only had it up and running for a little over an hour now under intermittent sun and clouds, but so far so good. I bought a 100A controller from another brand and it died in less than an hour which surprised me because their smaller controllers work great. In a panic to get something quickly I decided to try the Renogy 100A because I knew of the brand and it seemed to fit the bill.(my system is a 4500w system with Voc around 132v)PROS:-VERY beefy unit. This thing has some mass! The heatsink on the back spans the entire unit and then some, and seems ready to handle the 100A that can be thrown at it.-Good power connection points. I use 2 awg wire with a few strands cut off to fit into the battery terminal connections and it works fine. The connectors are well insulated and the strain relief for the big battery wires you might use are well done IMO. They actually designed it for wire that can handle 100 amps.-Quiet operation. I wasn't pushing 80A into the battery for very long, but no cooling fans came on or anything. It just did it's thing.-Data display. Lots of real time data about what's happening in your system.CONS/NITPICKS:-The Lithium battery setting defaults to Lithium Ion, NOT LiFEPO4 batteries. If you have this style of lithium in a 16s configuration, you need to use the "USER" battery type and program things by hand.-The battery parameters regardless of battery type are based on a 12v system. If you have a 24, 36, or 48v system you need to take your voltage parameters and divide them by 2, 3, or 4, respectively, when you program the unit.-There is no way to disable the equalization option in the menu even if you are using lithium batteries (i have my own balancer). I did a workaround by putting the time in equalization to 0 and set it to do it every 60 days as a just in case.-The manual has some what I'll call "ESL translation" issues (e.g. telling you to hit the "ok" button when there are only arrow buttons- they meant the "right arrow" button for the "ok" button). Some of these translation issues can leave you scratching your head until you read it a few times to get into their mindset.Overall, the beefy construction, quiet operation, and the plethora of real time data make up for the cons/nitpicks of this unit. I'm glad I gave this a try and for initial quality/performance I am very impressed. As I use it more I'll continue to update with how it works.

Unbeatable!
This unit manages 2,400 Watts of solar power and 10 KW of batteries. The interface is very intuitive and easy to understand. It manages charge rates and load usage, and provides more than ample information to control my system. It is literally the center hub of my system.I have separate external battery monitors, but they always agree with the Rover. If you really want to go big on solar, this is the Beast you need to do it!150 volts or 2500 watts, this baby can handle it!I personally feed my 24 volt panels into it at 48 volts.Once I set all the parameters, I can literally depend on it to monitor my system. An easy five out of five stars!

Heavy but premium
I have all renogy products; people complain about them, but i never had any problems with them. I bought these two big boys because i upgraded from my camper van to a motor home. So, I needed a bigger system and these fit the bill. I had to build out a wall of power for all of my toys and i must admit they look awesome. Programming was easy and money was a-lot but worth it.
