BENFEI VGA to HDMI Adapter, 1080P Converter with Audio from Computer/Laptop VGA Source to HDMI TV/Monitor

Works as advertised with no tinkering! I plugged in the USB cord even though I don't need audio because the instructions say the USB cord also provides power for the adapter.I'm using it to send 1920x1080 to a Huion Kamvas 13 (Gen 3) drawing tablet. The image isn't quite as crisp as my main display, but I still have the tablet's full native resolution with no detectable lag. I don't know whether the softer image is due to the VGA source or just the quality of the tablet's display, but it doesn't bother me.

I just hooked it up today and it works. Vga from pc and hdmi to tv that way I can be watching Thursday night football and shopping on or working at the same time with 2 monitors in my office or I can watch tv and be shopping and working at the same time.

This works great. Picture is nice and clear. Great value for the price. Now, keep in mind that you MUST set your computer to output video at 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz in order for this video adapter to work correctly (this is ever so briefly covered in the instructions). If you need help setting your computer to output video correctly, I would recommend using ChatGPT to help (especially if you're using Linux). There may be some brief scripting you will need to do to make your computer output to this size (I had to do so). If you do not set the output video to 1920 x 1080, you will likely not see any video (your tv will act like there's nothing there). Once you have it set correctly, this adapter will work properly. Yes, it does indeed send stereo audio from you computer to your monitor on the HDMI. You WILL need to supply your own HDMI cable to go from this adapter to your tv, so if you don't already have one, grab that while you're shopping as well.

Easy to use and works perfectly! I connected my old PC to a new HDMI monitor and the picture quality is clear with no issues. Solid build and great value for the price.

Bought two. First one worked 8 months, quit, totally. Message: "No HDMI-2 detected".Bought another. Did not work at --ALL. Same message on screen. Bought another ATI Rage 128 card, usingthis adapter. Result: "No HDMI-2" Results from this sample of 2 passive adapters from VGA device.Reddit research revealed this:" If you want to convert VGA to HDMI, you will need an "active" adapter,as you cannot convert an analog signal to digital signal passively."NOT RECOMMENDED but ....Follow up: Bought an INDEPENDENTLY USB-POWERED version ($50). Worked the first time! Plenty power.(Nothing wrong with my 3 ancient ATI Rage 128 VGA cards!)OK, but only where more 5 volt power (couple of amps?) is not required. VGA power alone may be too weak?
