Q: What headphones are good for this item?

I just use my smartphone headphones. I'm sure you'll get better sound with a pair of good music headphones but I don't think it's a requirement. The Vox amPlugs are simply designed and my smartphone headset work perfectly.

Q: What type of battery's are best ??

Any good-quality alkaline AAA battery (x 2.)

Q: Does this thing drain batteries as fast as the korg pandora px4 did?

I've been using the same batteries since the 1st week of January. Granted, I only use the Vox once, maybe, twice a week, for about 1.5 hours at a time. I have a jumbo pack of batteries at the ready, though.

Q: Is anybody else getting the high pitch interference screech coming out of this thing? It will be fine one time i use it then the next time all

I don't get any screech or distortion but I barely get any sound either. This thing is way too quiet. It barely sounds louder than being unplugged. Not worth the money IMO.
